Home to four young businesses, Rockpoint Apparel is the first opening as part of the town’s Victoria Quarter regeneration project, a privately-funded initiative, which plans to develop and promote the area’s independent credentials, and create a cultural hub similar to Liverpool’s Lark Lane.
Spearheaded by local businessman, Daniel Davies, his company Rockpoint Leisure, have secured a number of empty properties on and around Victoria Road, and are currently developing a variety of retail and hospitality concepts which will benefit locals as well as generating footfall from visitors.
Rockpoint Apparel features ladies and menswear, luxury footwear and accessories, by brands who are already successfully trading online.
The Doll Club Couture who have more than eighteen thousand Instagram followers design unique made-to-measure club and evening wear, plus hand-embellished and hand-finished casual ranges.
Bearded G design smart streetwear and menswear, and include t-shirts, and caps, hoodies, outerwear and gymwear across two signature collections.
Request Exclusives specialise in limited-edition streetwear and footwear, by brands including Nike, Adidas, Supreme and Palace.
Speaking about the opening, Rockpoint Leisure CEO, Daniel Davies commented:
“The UK’s High Streets are in a shocking condition. Stores are closing daily and the offer is now a bland carbon copy from town to town, right across the country.
The backbone of the work we are doing in the Victoria Quarter is about embracing and amplifying New Brighton’s independent offer.
Rockpoint Apparel is also reversing retail trends by taking online brands and giving them their first bricks and mortar retail store, and I’m delighted to be able to give support to our brands and the hardworking guys who run them.”
