New disco and pop venue 'Gloria's' set to light up Liverpool’s nightlife

Liverpool is about to get a glittering new addition to its nightlife scene as Gloria’s opens its doors this autumn.

Launching on Friday, 27 September, Gloria’s promises to be the ultimate hotspot for all things disco and pop, with a glamorous makeover of the old MOJO site, backed by a £1 million investment.

Each evening Gloria’s will start as a sophisticated cocktail lounge with fabulous drinks, segueing into Liverpool’s best dance club with its iconic bright pink floor and luxury booth seating.

One of Liverpool’s finest DJs and an integral part of the city’s nightlife, Jimmy Allen, is Gloria’s resident. Liverpool’s disco and pop haven will feature endless classics deep into the night, with live disco bands and big local and international DJs powered by an incredible full Martin Audio sound system. Gloria’s will be free entry.

Bringing the location into this new phase includes design work by R2A Studio who have created the venue’s incredible aesthetic, from the immersive light up bar which is unique in the city to its classic throwback interior vibes.

The team who designed legendary Liverpool venues such as Korova, Mowgli and Alma de Cuba have used their pedigree once more, bringing DGB Hospitality Group’s vision to life.

“We’re immensely proud to be bringing Gloria’s to Liverpool and it feels really special being the tenth part of the DGB Hospitality family. It’s a huge project with our biggest investment yet, with over £1million going into making this Liverpool’s hottest new destination.

“It’s a different proposition to our existing sites and will channel the magic and hedonism of some of the world’s greatest disco clubs, joining our existing portfolio including Petit Café, Pogue Mahone, Motel and Teddy’s. We can’t wait to unveil Gloria’s to the city on Friday 27 September.”

Gloria’s grand opening is on Friday 27 September then the venue will be open weekly every Wednesday to Sunday until late and until 5am at weekends. There will be cocktail offers on midweek.
