Perfectly located at the heart of Liverpool’s Commercial District and surrounded by the iconic, Grade II-listed architecture; this open-air bar and street café sits on the doorstep of Castle Street and is set to be an excellent addition to the area’s thriving Gastronomic scene.
Not only will the bar be serving up a quality selection of prosecco, beer, cocktails and gins; there’s also a mouth-watering Catalonian-inspired food menu available, designed by talented chefs to the stars Carl Finning and Thomas Lang under their latest venture, Coca.
The outdoor bar and grill is the brainchild of local specialists in pop-up food and drink concepts, Bubbles Bar Ltd who were last year’s successful Bubbles Beach Club installation on Pier Head.
“The aim was to create a completely unique place for people to come for a bite to eat, relax in the sun and take in the surroundings of some of Liverpool’s most stunning architecture.” Said Lord Alfred McCaughran, Owner of the Bubbles brand. “We wanted to create a Mediterranean-style street cafe environment reminiscent of the dynamic piazzas that you might find in many great European cities – which offers a fresh destination for informal business meetings, lunch or after work drinks in the area.”
Mark Rabinovitch, Director for Shelborn Asset Management said, “We’re delighted to have such a vibrant bar pop-up at Exchange Flags this Summer and we hope people working in the buildings or visiting our other restaurants, Fazenda and Vincent’s will take the opportunity to enjoy a drink or snack at Chillin & Grillin in the sunshine.”
The bar officially launches on Thursday 29th June – and is open to the public from 7pm-9pm. Guests are invited to come and get a drink, taste some select dishes from the diverse menu and enjoy an evening sound tracked by chilled, soulful music from local DJ Mark Armstrong and saxophonist Karl Max McCabe.
