New wedding venue Floralia to open in South Liverpool
4 years ago
Fenscamins Odena Village, a creative Barcelona venue operator of bespoke weddings, events and ceremonies, is to open a new concept and wedding venue called Floralia in Aigburth, South Liverpool.
Set to officially open from April 2021, Floralia will offer unparalleled wedding backdrops as well as the highest level of quality and locally-sourced services, making each event an unforgettable and luxurious experience. Located by Otterspool Promenade, the stunning setting offers unobstructed and magnificent views over the River Mersey.
Floralia is a new venture and partnership between Barcelona born businessman, Nacho Alemany and local Liverpool entrepreneurs, Joe Clarke and Stacey Cullen.
Nacho Alemany, co-founder of Floralia, says:
‘We have been looking for a UK location for some time and Liverpool feels like the perfect fit. We loved the people, energy and attitude here and our new riverside site is ideal for the new concept.’
The new concept is aptly named Floralia, in honour of the Ancient Roman spring festival which celebrates Flora – the Roman goddess of flowers, vegetables, nature and fertility. The Floralia experience will have these elements woven throughout, showcasing nature’s beauty and the celebration of life.
The weddings, unions and ceremonies will be held in eco-friendly tipis and decorated with a vast array of high quality blossom displays and fresh organic flowers for what promises to be a spectacle of colour.
The aesthetics inside and out of the new venue and tipis are being designed by top event creators Visual Architects and will include awe-inspiring floral displays from a range of top local Liverpool artisan florists.
Delicious menus will be specially created by a top Barcelona Michelin star team designed to bring a mediterranean flair to the whole experience. Wines and cocktails are also carefully chosen, with floral undertones, to compliment and make the most of the flavourful menus.
Stacey Cullen, who will take on the role of General Manager for the new venture, says:
‘We are thrilled to be launching such an exciting and innovative weddings business in Liverpool. It feels like we are reinventing and modernising the big day with a distinct Merditarrean feel’.
The business will operate 7 days a week and cater for all weddings and celebrations. The new venue will be able to accommodate up to 200 guests from April until the end of October.
Each event will be carefully planned to ensure it offers an enjoyable yet safe environment for guests. The team is working with local authorities and partners to comply and operate within the latest government guidelines.
In regards to the Covid-19 pandemic, Stacey adds, ‘We are also mindful of the current situation with regards to events, and we are delighted to be offering small and intimate weddings for 15 guests, ensuring couples who have not been able to tie the knot will now be able to do so, as government guidelines allow.’
Nacho also confirms ‘We understand that it is currently a very difficult situation for couples planning their big day, and whilst the situation is certain to improve over time, we are guaranteeing that any deposits paid to us will be fully refundable, should our customers’ date be impacted by the Coronavirus.’
