New Wirral Festival to bring Example, Feeder and more to Merseyside this year

The inaugural We Are Wirral Festival is set to launch at the historic Birkenhead Park on July 19-20 2025, offering a vibrant weekend of music, entertainment, and family-friendly activities.

With an impressive lineup of musical acts confirmed and catering to a wide range of tastes from indie to DJ sets, the festival promises a weekend filled with diverse musical performances, interactive activities, and a packed schedule of entertainment suitable for all ages.

Event Highlights:

Interactive Activities: Festival-goers can engage in unique experiences such as tree climbing and slacklining. After a long hiatus, activities are finally making a comeback to the park’s picturesque lake with the festival offering visitors the chance to enjoy boating, kayaking, and paddleboarding once again, providing adventure and fun for the whole family.

Entertainment Village: The festival will feature life-sized arcade games, a Big Top Circus tent with interactive workshops, performances by the Handmade Theatre company, and the ‘Grand Cavalcade’, a band of talented songsmiths and performers offering a packed schedule of stories, fun shows and experiments. Traditional fair rides and stalls will also be available for classic family enjoyment.

Culinary Delights: A carefully curated selection of street food vendors from across the Wirral and beyond will offer a variety of delicious food and drink. Attendees can indulge in a diverse range of dishes, complemented by cocktails and a selection of craft ales and beers.
