Newsham Scream Park returns to Liverpool for it’s third season this October
4 days ago

This Halloween, Newsham Scream Park returns to Liverpool for season three.
Set in the UK’s scariest abandoned building, where a pervasive sense of dread oozes from the walls, ominous shadows lurk in the gloom and nothing is ever quite what it seems, a palpable fear envelops all who dare enter.
Steeped in history and folklore, Newsham Park Hospital is revered by thrill seekers, ghost hunters and those with a penchant for dabbling in the dark arts. And this Halloween, the vast dilapidated building – over the decades a Seamen’s orphanage, hospital and asylum – will again host Newsham Scream Park for a month of mind-bending madness.

Running from Wednesday 1st October with dates until Friday 31st October, Asylum Entertainment Limited is back with four new scare mazes and experiences, designed by terror maestros AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment. Victorian Psycho, Witch Hunt, Phantasma’s Hall of Freaks and Larst Resort are debuting this October, as Newsham Scream Park elevates the terror for season three even higher, with truly skin-crawling frights, devilish freaks and all out terror lurking in each corner. It’s the ultimate setting for a night of adrenalin-fuelled horror.
The four scare mazes are:
- Victorian Psycho. Buried in the rotting bowels beneath Newsham Park Asylum festers a labyrinth of gore, where madness drips from the walls and death clings to the air like smoke.
- Witch Hunt. Beyond the twisted trees of Rainford Forest lies Gallows Bray – a once-protected village under the spell of the coven of Isobel Robey. All was well, until The Inquisition of the Crows arrived…
- Phantasma’s Hall Of Freaks. Phantasma’s freakshow rolled into Newsham Park Orphanage in 1967 – invited to entertain, but remembered for terror…
- Larst Resort. Doktor Viktor Larst, Director of Care, welcomes you to his namesake retirement complex – Larst Resort – a luxury assisted living facility that promises lifelong care throughout your golden years.

Jason Karl, Creative Director for AtmosFEAR! Scare Entertainment, says:
“`Designing Newsham Scream Park at the UK’s most unique Halloween destination venue presents us with almost unlimited options across multiple buildings, floors and in hundreds of rooms and passageways. For season three we are bringing four new scare attraction experiences which are all new and utilise parts of the building that haven’t been seen during our previous two seasons. Having already scooped two awards over the past couple of years, we are ready for the challenge of season three and to bring the screams to Newsham Scream Park once again.”
For season three, there’s a brand-new Horror Selfie Museum. Each scene is packed with eerie props, chilling atmosphere, and the perfect lighting for a scream-worthy selfie – Dracula’s Crypt, Death Chamber, Alcatraz Prison and the Voodoo Hovel. Plus there’s new street entertainment, stage acts and live music, alongside the huge food court and licensed bars, plus tarot readers, mystics, fortune tellers and more.
The Victorian Grade II listed Newsham Park Hospital has long been abandoned to the elements, yet Newsham Park Hospital is a mecca for spectral thrill seekers and those who believe something evil lurks in the basements and cordoned off spaces. It is regularly cited as one of the UK’s most haunted buildings and is legendary in Liverpool.
