Over £9K raised for Incubabies with the help of Marco Pierre White
6 years ago

Marco Pierre White made a return to his beloved Liverpool Steakhouse Bar and Grill at Hotel Indigo last week to host a special dinner event. Marco’s visit offered fans and foodie-lovers alike the chance to dine with the most influential and creative chef of our generation and raised money for a very worthy cause in the process.
Watch all of the action above and check out our interview with the man himself below.
The special dinner party included a delicious menu that was put together by Marco himself for the event. The occasion was to help fundraise for the IncuBabies campaign – a new charity, which has been set up to help form a new extension on the intensive care baby unit in the women’s and children’s neonatal unit located in Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral. It is one of only two, level three neonatal intensive care units in Cheshire and Merseyside. £9,400 was raised which will go directly to the Incubabies campaign.
Marco Pierre White said:
“Returning to Liverpool is always very special to me as my dad was a chef here when I was little, so I feel very at home in the city. Having heard about the challenges being faced by the Arrowe Park special care baby unit, the steakhouse wanted to get behind them and do our bit to help. I am really looking forward to meeting the incredible women behind this campaign on the night!”
Mandy Molby, fundraiser for the IncuBabies campaign, said:
“When we were asked if we wanted Marco to support the IncuBabies campaign we were so giddy. He is an amazing and talented chef, who is so passionate about food and life. I cannot wait to meet him and share with him the amazing work that is being done to save these little lives in Arrowe Park Hospital. We simply must save this unit because if we don’t, the nearest unit will be in Leeds and that is just not good enough.”
Guests on the evening can enjoy a mouthwatering three-course dinner for just £95 per person. That includes Champagne upon arrival and a glass of wine each with your meal, plus a personally signed copy of Marco’s book – Essentially Marco.
Mark Tasker, general manager at Hotel Indigo, added:
“Every time Marco visits it creates a real buzz of excitement for our staff and our guests. Marco is keen to support the work being done by the amazing IncuBabies campaign to raise vital funds to save little lives, making the night even more exciting. Marco has picked out the menu and we have entertainment ready to make a night to remember for our guests.”
