Owen Drew Candles is launching a Christmas pop-up store at Royal Albert Dock

Award-winning British brand, Owen Drew candles, is bringing its beautifully scented, handcrafted candles to the iconic Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, with an exciting Christmas pop-up, taking place from Wednesday 14th November, to 2nd January 2019.

Founded just over two years ago by Drew Cockton, Owen Drew is a multi award-winning brand, which has already gained a following of celebrity fans, including the likes of Paris Hilton, Buckingham Palace, along with endorsements from Vogue, Elle and Grazia magazine. Unlike most candles, Owen Drew is made entirely from natural products, using vegan soya wax, a wooden wick, and natural essential oils, to produce a range of unique and beautifully fragranced candles.

The demand for Owen Drew candles was so impressive when first launched that Drew took a gamble and left his job in the financial services to dedicate his time and efforts to the brand fully in January 2017. Drew’s partner, Mike Skeggs, soon started working for the company as well, and Owen Drew is now stocked in over 25 independent outlets across the UK, with the latest collaboration being the Royal Albert Dock.

The Owen Drew pop-up at the Dock will be the largest shop to stock all of their hand-made luxury products, which includes scented candles, room sprays, sleep aids and wax melts. Perfectly timed to run through the festive season, the pop-up with be a prime spot for Christmas gift buying. The Christmas collection, which is inspired by Charles Dickens’ iconic novella, “A Christmas Carol”, and has already received critical acclaim. The fragrance takes inspiration from a Victorian Christmas, with notes of roasted chestnuts, rum, oak, coal fire and spices from the then mighty British Empire, with prices ranging from £30-750.

When speaking about the pop-up at the Dock, Drew says, “We are delighted to be calling such an iconic and prestigious location home over the Christmas period. We believe its proximity to the city centre and the array of fine retailers will be excellent for our business”.

Owen Drew is the latest pop-up flexible lease signed by Aberdeen Standard Investments, whose overall strategy for the Dock is to ensure an eclectic and exciting mix of offerings, across all retail sectors including fashion, crafts, food and drink. Joining the mix of already present pop-ups, which include Lost Soles and Hush Luxe, Owen Drew will be a great addition to the expanding portfolio, establishing Royal Albert Dock as one of Liverpool’s prime shopping destinations.
