Andrew Sheridan’s OXA, a charming neighbourhood restaurant located in Oxton, has recently been awarded two AA Rosettes.
OXA, which opened its doors last May, is under the culinary leadership of head chef Jake Smith, working closely with chef patron Andrew Sheridan, renowned for his flagship restaurant 8 By Andrew Sheridan in Liverpool.
The prestigious two AA Rosettes recognition is a testament to OXA’s commitment to delivering an outstanding dining experience, achieving higher standards, and ensuring better consistency in its offerings.
Restaurant 8 By Andrew Sheridan, based on Cook Street in Liverpool, proudly holds three AA Rosettes, and both OXA and 8 have secured spots in the esteemed Michelin Guide.
Chef Andrew Sheridan said:
“We are so pleased for Jake and the team achieving two AA Rosettes – they are turning out some stunning food. This is the recognition they deserve.”
Situated on Rose Mount, formerly the location of Restaurant Fraiche, OXA boasts a menu featuring delectable dishes such as Glazed Short Rib of Beef with Shitake and XO, and Cornish Mussels with Beer and Miso.
The restaurant places a strong emphasis on using high-quality ingredients cooked with precision, ensuring a memorable dining experience for patrons.
In addition to OXA and 8, Andrew Sheridan, along with business partners Sam and Emma Morgan of the Open Restaurant Group, oversees other culinary ventures. Black & Green in Barnt Green, Worcestershire, stands as an upmarket neighbourhood restaurant, while The Bracebridge in Sutton Park, West Midlands, has recently reopened its doors to patrons seeking a delightful dining experience.
