A month-long surrender and compensation scheme is going live next week (Monday 26 August), ahead of a new law making it illegal to own certain styles of zombie knives and machetes.

From Tuesday 24 September 2024, it will be illegal to own certain styles of zombie knives and machetes. Under the new measures, it will be illegal to possess, sell or manufacture or transport these zombie-style knives and machetes. Ahead of the law change, a month-long national surrender and compensation scheme has been introduced by the government, allowing legal owners of zombie-style knives and machetes to surrender them to Merseyside Police and claim compensation if they wish.

Police forces across England and Wales, including Merseyside Police, are participating in the scheme, which runs from 26 August until 23 September 2024.

The public can surrender a zombie-style knife or machete at one of 10 General Enquiry Offices across Merseyside:

Sister Stations

Open Tuesday to Friday 10am – 6pm

When bringing items to a police station for surrender, members of the public are asked to wrap it up securely and place it in a sealed bag or box, it must stay covered at all times.Members of the public need to bring along a completed surrender and compensation claim form which can be found here. Carry the claim form with you in case you’re stopped by the police on the way to the police station.

Superintendent Phil Mullally, Lead for Knife Crime and Serious Violence said:

“We welcome this new legislation which bans zombie-style knives and machetes and encourage the public to get familiar with the law changes and surrender eligible weapons during the month-long period.

“From Tuesday 24 September 2024, it will be illegal to possess, sell or manufacture or transport zombie-style knives and machetes. This law change broadens the classification of zombie knives, which were banned in 2016, and gives police new powers to seize and destroy these dangerous weapons which feature a blade of over 8 inches in length and other distinct characteristics.

“As police officers we see first-hand the devastation brought about by knife crime and will continue working tirelessly to prevent other lives from being taken.

“This new legislation supports our ongoing commitment to reducing and disrupting serious violence in Merseyside, which includes uniformed hotspot patrols, using powers such as Serious Violence Reduction Orders (SVROs), executing warrants and deploying targeted operations.

“Over the last three years, serious violence has fallen by more than 23%, with 637 fewer offences compared to 21/22. Knife enabled serious violence has reduced by 27.8%, with 341 fewer offences compared to 21/22.

“The work of our Merseyside Violence Reduction Partnership (MVRP) and partner organisations continues to be an important way to educate and tackle the root causes of knife crime. More than £400,000 will be invested in the year ahead, through our hotspot policing initiative, to reduce the harm violence and antisocial behaviour causes to our communities.”

Liverpool’s iconic Willis Organ at St George’s Hall is about to undergo a much-needed refurbishment, thanks to a significant funding boost.

The work coincides with the ‘SGH170’ programme of events, Celebrating the 170th anniversary of St George’s Hall with an array of music, comedy, and performance events.

The restoration project received £20,000 from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, provided through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, ensuring that this historic instrument will continue to resonate with the rich sounds it’s known for.

The funding will specifically address repairs to the ‘Tuba Mirabilis,’ often referred to as the ‘voice of the organ.’

This essential component of the organ will be meticulously restored by local specialists, David Wells Organ Builders Ltd, based in Kirkdale. The repair work will bring the Tuba Mirabilis stop back to its former, crisp glory.

In addition to the pipework repairs, the project will involve restoring the organ’s ‘stop chest,’ which is responsible for producing its sound.

The refurbishment will include replacing the internal leatherwork and magnets, critical elements that ensure the organ’s functionality.

The restoration process is expected to take around eight weeks, during which time the delicate pipework will be carefully removed and transported to the workshop in Kirkdale for repair.

Once the work is completed, the Tuba Mirabilis stop will undergo thorough regulation, and the entire organ will be retuned, all in preparation for the next organ recital, scheduled for Tuesday, 24 September, led by esteemed organist Professor Ian Tracey.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Culture, Councillor Harry Doyle, said:

“We are delighted to be able to dedicate funds to the repair of the Tuba Mirabilis, one of the loudest single stops on an organ.

“It is part of our commitment to ensuring we invest in our historic buildings and make the most of our incredible heritage.

The Willis Organ is a cornerstone of Liverpool’s rich musical heritage and holds immense historical and cultural value. Knowing that it is getting closer to being fully restored to its optimal condition is incredibly exciting.”

Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, said:

“The city of Liverpool is steeped in a rich musical history that has helped to shape its identity and culture for centuries. St George’s Hall has played a part in everything from classical music concerts to Eurovision for almost 170 years.

“I am delighted that the Combined Authority’s funding will deliver this important restoration, underlining Liverpool’s place as a UNESCO city of music.”

Liverpool’s Royal Court is gearing up for the return of Girls Don’t Play Guitars, the five-star musical sensation that brings to life the incredible story of The Liverbirds, the world’s first all-girl rock ‘n’ roll group.

Girls Don’t Play Guitars is written by Ian Salmon (The Comeback Special) and directed by Bob Eaton (Lennon), the unmissable show is set to captivate audiences with its unforgettable tale and timeless tunes.

In 1963, Liverpool was a city alive with musical energy, bursting with talent and ambition.

Amidst the sea of aspiring bands, four young women—Mary, Sylvia, Val, and Pam—stood tall, breaking barriers and making history as The Liverbirds.

From headlining at The Cavern to rocking Hamburg’s Star Club, these trailblazers did it all on their terms, turning down Brian Epstein, mingling with Jimi Hendrix, and leaving Chuck Berry in awe.

The musical first took the stage in 2019 and quickly became a hit, bringing the spirit of the 60s back to life with iconic songs like Peanut Butter and Diddley Daddy.

Now, as The Liverbirds’ story hits the bookshelves, there’s no better time to experience the magic of their music live once again.

Writer Ian Salmon said:

“As a Liverpool writer there aren’t many stories from the Merseybeat era that remain untold; it turned out that one of the few was one of the greatest. I’ve been fortunate enough to be able to tell this with the help of two of the girls themselves. These are the stories that need to be known, need to be recorded, need to be passed down to the generations that follow so that they’re remembered forever, and the theatre is a fantastic place to do that.

There’s a line that I wrote toward the end of the show; “On nights like this, in rooms like these, you make dreams come true”. That was about giving the Liverbirds the homecoming gig that they never had, but it’s really about what we do as writers; we create something from nothing, we give stories life.”

Girls Don’t Play Guitars, as told to the writer by Mary Dostal and Sylvia Wiggins, from an original idea by Paul Fitzgerald.

Cast includes: Molly Grace Cutler (Val) Alice McKenna (Mary), Lisa Wright (Pam), Sarah Workman (Sylvia) and Jonathan Markwood.

Girls Don’t Play Guitars will run at Liverpool’s Royal Court from 27 September – 26 October 2024. Tickets start from £16.

Merseyside Police are urging the public to stay vigilant after reports of scammers creating fake social media accounts to exploit the tragic events of funerals by offering fake live streams in exchange for donations.

The Merseyside Police Cyber Unit has identified several Facebook accounts that falsely promoted a live stream of Bebe King’s funeral on Saturday, 17 August.

These accounts included a link to a fake donations page, tricking people into giving money under false pretences.

As the funeral of Elsie Dot Stancombe approaches on Friday, 23 August, police are offering advice to help people avoid falling victim to these heartless scams.

Detective Inspector Steve Frame said:

“We are aware of social media accounts offering people the chance to view live streams of funerals in exchange for donations.

“To take advantage of such a tragic incident is appalling and we want to give people advice on how to avoid being scammed.

“Many frauds start by tricking people into entering their details into an apparently legitimate site. Take care when accessing websites, particularly those promoted by social media accounts – they may not be what they appear to be.”

Western Approaches Museum in Liverpool has achieved two historic milestones.

Western Approaches is the first UK museum to receive the prestigious Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme, and the first to sponsor a national league football club, Tranmere Rovers.

Western Approaches HQ was formerly a top-secret command centre for the Battle of the Atlantic in the Second World War and now preserves the vital history of Allied naval operations, showcasing the strategic efforts that helped turn the tide of the war.

The Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award recognises the positive role that employers play in supporting defence and inspiring others to do the same.

The Gold Award honours the museum and its parent company Big Heritage for its extensive support for veterans and active Armed Forces members – assisting ex-service personnel and other charities that support them, collaborating closely with the Royal Navy to welcome serving crew members to the city and providing funding to pay for Battle of the Atlantic veterans from across the UK to visit the site.

Reflecting on the museum’s remarkable achievement, Minister for Veterans and People, Alistair Carns, said:

“Our Armed Forces Community make incredible sacrifices to keep the nation safe, and it is only right that they are welcomed and valued in the workplace when they leave service. This scheme aligns with this government’s determination to renew the nation’s contract with our Armed Forces.

“I would like to thank the nearly 200 organisations that have been recognised with a gold award this year. Their continued support ensures that our Armed Forces Community are given opportunities needed to flourish.”

In addition to this national recognition, the museum has recently announced a unique partnership with Tranmere Rovers Football Club in Birkenhead, becoming the first museum in the UK to sponsor a professional football team. This collaboration coincides with the club’s 140th anniversary year and aims to promote the museum and broaden local awareness ahead of a new Battle of the Atlantic museum opening in the town in Spring 2026.

As part of the partnership, signage promoting Western Approaches is now visible inside and outside Tranmere Rovers’ Prenton Park stadium. The two organisations have already collaborated on a cultural engagement programme with children from the Hive Youth Zone, and several exciting new fan-led heritage initiatives are being planned.

Dean Paton, CEO of Big Heritage said:

“A tremendous amount of work happens quietly behind the scenes at Western Approaches to support the Armed Forces community, especially veterans. Receiving this Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence is an incredible honour that validates the dedication of our fantastic staff.

“While we don’t seek recognition, it’s incredibly rewarding to know that the impact of our efforts is being felt by those who serve or have served.

“At the same time, our partnership with Tranmere Rovers highlights our commitment to finding new and innovative ways to engage with the community. These two historic firsts – being recognised for our support of veterans and becoming the first museum to sponsor a national league football club – reflect how we consistently push boundaries and challenge what it means to be a museum.

“Whether it’s honouring our Armed Forces or creating meaningful local connections, we are always looking to lead the way into the future while staying true to our mission of connecting people to the past.”

International Beatleweek is being held right across the August Bank Holiday weekend from Wednesday, August 21 to Tuesday, August 27.

International Beatleweek Festival is organised by the owners of the world-famous Cavern Club and is an annual event that brings together top tribute bands from more than 25 countries (and fans from more than 40!) for a week-long celebration of all things Beatles and beyond.

To fully immerse yourself into Beatlemania, here are 6 spots in Liverpool you need to visit for International Beatleweek:

The Beatles Story

The Beatles Story is the world’s leading Beatles-themed visitor attraction and is based in Liverpool’s Royal Albert Dock.

Experience authentic memorabilia, including George Harrison’s first guitar, and John Lennon’s last piano, in the heart of the city where it all began.

Perfect for fans and history buffs alike, it’s a must-see attraction in Liverpool that brings the Beatles’ legacy to life in an unforgettable way.

Casbah Coffee Club

The Cavern Club is widely regarded as the birthplace of The Beatles, but hardcore fans know that the pop rock band’s journey actually began in the Casbah Coffee Club in Hayman’s Green.

If you are picturing a quaint coffee shop, then think again. Casbah’s is located in the basement of the band’s original drummer Pete Best’s family home.

Best’s mother Mona converted the basement into an intimate music venue in 1959 and allowed the young lads to make their mark on the place.

Fledging rockers John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Best spent hours perfecting their harmonies, sharpening their stage presence and writing their iconic songs there (before Ringo Starr replaced Best in 1962).

Casbah has been dubbed the ‘holy grail’ of Beatles history as it showcases original decorations and equipment from the 1960s.

You can book a tour of this venue by calling 07872 017 473 or by visiting Pete Best’s website.

Adults tickets cost £20 and children under 5 go free.

Strawberry Field

The vibrant Strawberry Field red gate is located at the entrance of the former Salvation Army children’s home and inspired the band’s infamous Strawberry Fields Forever single.

Lennon grew up near the children’s home, and his memories of playing in the grounds are interlaced within the song’s lyrics.

Behind the gates, visitors can browse through an exhibition of Beatles’ memorabilia, including archive footage, photographs and an array of intriguing artefacts.

Penny Lane

The Fab Four’s ode Penny Lane put this bustling street firmly on the map.

Along the lane, you’ll stroll passed Millennium Green, a lovely park, and a modern bus shelter which McCartney used in the band’s early years to change buses to visit Lennon.

The area has evolved into a trendy destination and is now home to a number of bars, bistros, food outlets, thrift shops and the same barber’s shop mentioned in the hit Penny Lane tune.

The Cavern Club

The Cavern Club
The Cavern Club

Dubbed the ‘cradle of British pop music’, The Cavern Club became closely associated with Merseybeat in the 50s and regularly played host to The Beatles during their fledgling years.

The iconic stage beneath the brick arches in the front of the club is the image most people associate with the Cavern Club.

Visitors can revel in live music from soloists and cover bands from mid-afternoon until late evening whilst also admiring the impressive memorabilia adorning its walls.

Located in Mathew Street in the heart of the city, the pop music venue became a regular stomping ground for the Fab Four and helped catapult them into stardom.

The Beatles Statue

This impressive, larger than life statue was first unveiled on Liverpool’s Waterfront in December 2015 – 50 years after their last gig in Merseyside.

Donated by the Cavern Club, the bronze sculpture was created by sculptor Andrew Edwards and weighs 1.2 tonnes in total.

Several symbolic elements have been incorporated into this tribute, including 63 rings around Ringo’s drum kit – which represents the year 1963, when The Beatles became a global phenomenon.

Also, more than 100 songs that were written during The Beatles’ active years have been inscribed into the base of the statue.

These thoughtful additions have made the iconic tribute an interactive piece as many fans excitedly scan the sculpture to find their favourite tracks.

Stephen Graham stars as a Victorian boxer in first look images of A Thousand Blows, an upcoming period drama from Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight.

British TV heavyweights Stephen Graham and Steven Knight have collaborated on the new series set in the perilous world of illegal boxing in 1880s Victorian London – executively produced by Graham and created by Knight.

Graham can be seen as seasoned and dangerous boxer Sugar Goodson, who comes up against Hezekiah Moscow – played by Malachi Kirby – in the first look images.

Hezekiah, from Jamaica, has been thrust into the vibrant and violent East End following the industrial revolution and finds himself drawn into the criminal underbelly of the boxing scene – becoming locked in a rivalry with Graham’s character.

Bafta-winning actor Kirby recently starred in Steve McQueen’s BBC anthology Small Axe.

In A Thousand Blows, Hezekiah meets meets Mary Carr (Erin Doherty) – leader of The Forty Elephants, a notorious all-female London gang.

A first glimpse sees The Crown star Doherty in character, leaning on the ropes of a traditional boxing ring.

Creator, writer, and executive producer Knight said: “The love and care that went into this thrilling production is evident on screen from the first moment.

“What makes the story we tell all the more compelling is that it is based on the lives of real people who lived extraordinary lives in extraordinary times.”

The first six-part series of A Thousand Blows will air on Disney+ in 2025, while a second series has completed production.

Graham, whose production company Matriarch Productions has co-produced the series, gained notoriety for his role in 2006 film This Is England and its TV sequels.

The British actor won the Bafta for best actor following his role in BBC drama Boiling Point, after scoring nominations for his role in BBC drama Time and Channel 4 film Help.

Graham also worked alongside Knight for the final series of Peaky Blinders, playing Hayden Stagg.

Broadcaster and historian David Olusoga acts as executive producer on A Thousand Blows.

Martin hopes the Gala Fest will help foster a feeling of community within the borough: “I know that times are hard, and people are struggling at the moment with the cost of living crisis, but we can promise a fun family day that’s largely free.

“There are stalls, a fairground, mini golf and lots of other activities, as well as the bowls and a fabulous tribute artist music festival.

“For us, it’s about creating a better community and being part of that community, and we’ve seen how important that is with recent events.

“We’d just invite people to come along, have a great time, and help raise money for a great charity.”

He’ll be joined by Nif who specialises in botany, horticulture and conservation and is currently a botany tutor for the Botanical Society of Britain and Ireland (BSBI).

“At The Reader, we’ve got a wonderful volunteer gardening group who maintain all of our gardens and we realised there was a real appetite for gardening so we decided to work with experts on some courses,” she says.

“Gardening for Everyone will suit anyone just getting started or people who’ve been enthused over the summer by the nice weather and feel like they want to increase their skills.”

Annie says with mental health awareness becoming more of a priority, gardening has seen a boom in popularity among all ages.

“I think during Covid people really developed a sense of ownership of their own green spaces and valued the slower pace and calm that gardening gives you.

“The Reader’s main focus is bringing people together to enhance wellbeing and hopefully this course will give people a combination of wellbeing and also learning new skills to apply to their own life and their own garden.”

A mountain of rainbow-coloured foam will be taking over part of Liverpool city centre later this month!

Island of Foam – an ambitious, temporary shape-shifting artwork will take over Liverpool ONE’s Sugar House Steps (near John Lewis) on the afternoon of Saturday 31 August. It has been commissioned by Culture Liverpool in partnership with Global Streets.

The brainchild of German artist Stephanie Lüning, the brightly coloured foam will slowly take over an area of the steps starting at 2pm, growing and constantly taking shape, ultimately making the steps disappear.

When it’s complete, it’s time to get messy as onlookers are invited to explore the artwork and create their very own foam party on the ground level.

And as the installation is entirely biodegradable, it will disappear without a trace within hours.

The unique exhibit forms part of ‘The Last Day of Summer’ festival which offers a whole host of free, family fun including water sport sessions, street performances, crafting, music, silent adventure tours and even access to swan pedalos.  To find out more and to book on to some of the sessions, head to the official event website.  The festival has been organised by Liverpool BID Company, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, Peel Waters and Culture Liverpool.

Liverpool City Council’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Health and Wellbeing, Councillor Harry Doyle, said:

“Foam is a first for Liverpool and this is going to be an unforgettable spectacle.

“Our Culture Liverpool team is always looking for something different to bring to the city, which not only makes you appreciate a new artform but also makes you look at an area you may be familiar with, in a whole different way.

“Island of Foam is a great addition to the overall The Last Day of Summer programme, which will be a fantastic day out for all the family.”

Artist, Stephanie Lüning, said:

“In Liverpool you can see the ephemeral character in its architectural contrasts. You have very traditional buildings next to contemporary architecture and lots of construction sites all over town.

“I love to interweave the local architecture and its stories to present my vanishing art action in these ever changing public space. But what I love most is, to surprise people- to draw the audience out of their daily routines and comfort zones for a brief moment. Liverpool seems to be the perfect place to implement a colourful and playful pile of magic.”

Donna Howitt, Place Strategy Director at Liverpool ONE, said:

“We are thrilled to host the Island of Foam – it’s a unique and exciting experience for families, transforming a well-known part of Liverpool ONE into a vibrant sea of rainbow foam.

“We love exploring new ways to create unforgettable experiences for our visitors, and the Island of Foam is the perfect finale to the summer holidays. We can’t wait to see everyone getting involved and enjoying all the activities across the Waterfront!”

Flight Club, located at Liverpool ONE, overlooking Chavasse Park, has given darts a serious makeover with their six interactive games.

The venue will be kicking off its opening weekend in style with a live roaming saxophonist and singer to provide the ultimate summer soundtrack, guaranteed to keep everyone dancing all weekend.

Flight Club Liverpool is set over two floors that combines the fun of the fairground with the warmth of a traditional British pub, this new Liverpool hotspot promises a one-of-a-kind experience.

The venue has two stunning bars, a ground-floor outdoor terrace and first-floor balcony overlooking the park, 16 semi-private oche areas and a mezzanine space overlooking all the action in the bar below. And there is space for up to 400 people – plenty of room to get a serious party going.

They also have an amazing bottomless brunch. Plenty of booze, great food, and an epic time are guaranteed. Tickets for the two-hour brunch session cost £35pp and include 60 minutes of gameplay at the oche, a bottle of prosecco per person and unlimited pizza throughout.

The presence of darts at Flight Club shouldn’t fool anyone into thinking they will be walking into an old, dark and dingy boozer. Quite the opposite in fact. This spectacular bar is a vibe on a whole new level.

Think fairground-style lights blinking in time to the music, a carousel horse, a disco phone booth and antique treasures and trinkets everywhere you turn.

Steve Moore, CEO and co-founder of Flight Club, said:

“For years we’ve been eyeing up Liverpool as the perfect place for Flight Club. There’s nothing we love more than an epic night out and that’s something both Liverpool and Flight Club always deliver on, so it feels like a match made in heaven.

“This new venue has been months in the making to get every detail just right. We’re so excited that the time has finally come for us to welcome the people of Liverpool inside and we can’t wait to kick off the party.”

Rob Deacon, Director of Asset Management at Grosvenor, said:

“The opening of Flight Club has been hotly anticipated since we announced its signing last year, and the new space more than delivers the high calibre and immense scale of concept that has become synonymous with Liverpool ONE.

“It is no surprise that Liverpool has been named the UK’s most sociable city, and the addition of Flight Club to our leading entertainment line-up only adds to that.”

Red Run has announced the launch of FOUNDERS’ CLUB, a new 12-piece continual collection that embodies inclusivity, comfort & trend led active streetwear.

In a philanthropic mission, Red Run has partnered with national charity, Mental Health UK to release two distinctive t-shirts, as part of the FOUNDERS’ CLUB collection.

This partnership highlights Red Run’s commitment to supporting services that have a positive impact on people affected by poor mental health, financial stress, loneliness and isolation across all ages.

This new collection is deeply personal for the sisters who founded the company, who lost their father to mental health issues in 2021, shortly after the brands launch.

FOUNDERS CLUB is designed in his honour, with an aim to raise awareness and support for a cause close to their hearts. In tribute of their late father, the charitable t-shirts are subtly detailed with his initials on the sleeve & the collection’s swing tags will signpost people to Mental Health UK for additional information and support.

Megan Kimmance, Red Run Creative Director & Co-Founder, said:

“Founders’ Club is something we have been dreaming of launching since the early days of Red Run. We’ve been so fortunate to have an incredibly loyal customer base, most of whom have been with us since launch and have continued to buy each collection I design. Without them, Red Run would not of had the success and growth it’s had over the past 4 years, so designing a collection in honour of them, the true founders, is really very special.

“Our father was so proud when Abby and I created Red Run, I’m so happy we can honour him with this collection as well as supporting such an amazing cause in the process.”

The Moog at 60 will take place at Liverpool Hope University’s Capstone Theatre from 21-24 November 2024.

This landmark celebration will pay homage to the revolutionary instrument and its inventor Robert Moog, which changed popular music forever in 1964.

The Moog, a name synonymous with electronic music, was the first-ever commercial synthesiser. Through its revolutionary concept of analogue modular synthesis, the instrument heralded a succession of technological developments in music throughout the 60s and 70s. It was a key feature in the most innovative electronic and experimental music, progressive rock and jazz fusion of the time.

The Moog
The Moog

Paving the way for a succession of technological developments in music, The Moog created a new sound which was soon embraced by legendary acts such as Kraftwerk, George Harrison, and the Rolling Stones.

Following a period in electronic music production in the 80s and 90s dominated by digital synthesis, more recently analogue modular synthesisers have returned to the centre stage in electronic music, with artists enthralled by the instruments’ timbral richness and their tactile sensitivity and playability.

Opening the festival in Liverpool on Thursday 21 November will be a headline show featuring Will Gregory Moog Ensemble; a collective led by Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory and whose members include Portishead’s Adrian Utley and composers Graham Fitkin and Ben Foster. Expect sounds from their latest album Heat Ray, an album inspired by the work of Greek mathematician Archimedes.

On Friday 22 November, the Capstone hosts a Lydia Kavina and The Twelve Hour Foundation double bill. Theremin player Lydia Kavina has graced stages with renowned orchestras such as the London Symphony, Radio France Orchestra and the National Philharmonic Orchestra of Russia, whilst The Twelve Hour Foundation, whose music is released on the Castles in Space label, has had airplay from the likes of Stuart Maconie, Gideon Coe, Pete Wiggs and Project Moonbase.

On Saturday 23 November, the festival welcomes another double bill in Dave Bessell and Polypores. A classically trained musician with a doctorate in classical orchestration, Dave Bessell has also enjoyed an extensive career in popular music contributing to albums by Killing Joke and Suede. Polypores’ music has been released by respected electronic music labels such as Castles In Space, Polytechnic Youth, Woodford Halse, DiN and Frequency Domain.

The celebration culminates on Sunday 24 November with A Tribute to Kraftwerk: 50 Years of Autobahn and Far Beyond. For the 50th anniversary of the iconic group’s international breakthrough album Autobahn, music technology expert Mark Jenkins presents a striking live solo performance of the band’s hits. For lovers of these innovators and pioneers of electronic music, this very special anniversary gig is simply a must.

The Capstone Theatre’s Neil Campbell said

“During the past few years, The Capstone Theatre has become a hotbed of electronic music and we have hosted many packed out nights. This, our first-ever festival of electronic music, will be particularly special — featuring some incredible acts in celebration of the groundbreaking instrument that changes music forever. We’re thoroughly excited.”

Event tickets start at £16.50, with festival bundle tickets available from £55.
