A Guide to the Albert Dock Food Festival – FEAST

You’re invited to chomp and slurp your way around the Albert Dock this weekend as the first ever food and drink festival gets underway.
Royal Albert Dock Liverpool hosts its brand-new, free food and drink festival, FEAST, this weekend. Packed with more than 40 food, drink and lifestyle stalls plus  a variety of chef demos, interactive masterclasses, fun children’s activities and much more spanning over two days.
The festival will showcase the amazing food and drink line up at the Dock, encompassing some of Liverpool’s finest and most innovative independents. Bring your appetite and scroll down to get planning. We’ll see you on the dock!
When & Where
The Royal Albert Dock Liverpool Food Festival – FEAST takes place at the Albert Dock on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th September 2019. The main areas of the festival are the inner quay, Mermaid Courtyard, Anchor Courtyard, Hartley Courtyard and floating stage.
Times
The Albert Dock Food Festival begins at 11am and closes at 6pm on both days and entry is FREE. Scroll down for masterclass, story telling and stall opening and closing times.
Getting There
Train
Your nearest Merseyrail stations are James Street and Liverpool Central. Both are just a short walk to the Albert Dock. Family tickets are as little as ÂŁ11 for unlimited one-day off peak travel. Plan your journey here.Â
Bus
Liverpool ONE bus station is less than a minutes walk from the Albert Dock Food Festival site. Arriva North West operates a large number of services to this station from around the region. Plan your train journey here.Â

What’s On
There’s a whole host of entertainment on offer across the Albert Dock on both Saturday & Sunday. Don’t miss your chance to watch your favourite Albert Dock restaurant chefs take to the pro kitchen on the floating stage! Hosted by celeb chef Andi Oliver, you could be creating your own disco cauliflower, paella mixta or chocolate and peanut butter tart at home in no time!

Family Fun
As with all Albert Dock events, FEAST is packed full of activities for the kids too. From crafts and pizza making to having a boogie and story time, there’s something for kids of all ages.
Mermaid Courtyard
On both Saturday and Sunday, Mermaid Courtyard will be hosting free arts and crafts drop in sessions from 11:30am until 5:30pm. There’s also kids pizza making workshops and thrilling story time sessions from Storybarn for younger visitors to enjoy.
Floating Stage
On Sunday kids can roll up their sleeves and get hands on with cookery classes from Belling. Sessions run from 1pm until 5:30pm. More info here.
The Nest
The Nest and Friends is organising a weekend of activities, including professional signwriter Harry Mytton professional writing your favourite Scouse words across its windows, customer portraits from Nicola Fernandes, face painting – for both kids and adults – and pottery demonstrations from Louise Waller.
The Paper Moon team will also be doing some live screenprinting of a special print designed by Nest owner Katherine Caldwell, which will be handed out for free during the festival.
Inner Quay
Treat your kids to the world on a plate! Wander around the stalls on Inner Quay and try cuisine from Thailand, the Middle East, the Caribbean, Spain and more. Bring your appetite and try a little bit of everything.
Anchor Courtyard
Do you have some mini movers? Head to Anchor Courtyard on Saturday and Sunday to bust some moves with DJ’s and even more food and drink stalls.
Hartley Courtyard
Think you’ve seen it all? Head to Harley Quay on both Saturday and Sunday to see the phenomenal Lobster A La Cart live performance and forget everything you ever knew about creatures from the deep!

Make A Day of It
Why not make a day of it? Chomp and sip your way around the Albert Dock Food Festival – FEAST, take in a masterclass, get the kids hands on with pizza making and enjoy a story-telling session. Once you’re full, head to Tate Liverpool to see the Keith Haring exhibition or discover the real story of the Titanic and sister ship Lusitania at the Merseyside Maritime Museum.
