A hugely popular artisan market is set to make its debut at the historic Earlestown Market this April.
Known for its vibrant atmosphere and diverse selection of goods from award-winning producers, The Pop Up – which has attracted thousands of visitors since it first arrived in St Helens in June 2024, occupying Church Square on the last Saturday of every month – is a must-visit event for shoppers seeking something special, just in time for Easter.
Offering a family-friendly experience for visitors of all ages, the Pop Up Market features an array of stalls, including handmade products, sweets and treats from across the globe, street food, and arts and crafts stalls perfect for children – as well as walkaround entertainment.
Welcoming the Pop Up Market to Earlestown, which is set for a multi-million pound transformation as part of exciting regeneration plans.

Lisa Harris, Executive Director for Place Services at St Helens Borough Council, said:
“The Pop Up Market has become a firm favourite in St Helens and is a fantastic product in terms of bringing a modern take on a market to historic, traditional market towns. Earlestown – with its rich market heritage dating back more than 700 years – will provide the perfect backdrop for such an event.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for families to spend the day enjoying a variety of local and international goods, while experiencing the charm of one of the oldest markets in the region which is right at the very heart of exciting regeneration plans for the area.”

Matilda Bruchard, Director of the Pop Up Market, added:
“’I’m incredibly excited to bring an artisan market to Earlestown following the success of the St Helens Pop Up Market.
“This event will showcase local artisans and award-winning producers, offering a vibrant mix of arts and crafts and free activities for our mini market visitors to take part in. Not only will it highlight the incredible talent in the community, but it will also help drive footfall to the high street and support Earlestown’s permanent retailers. I can’t wait to see how this market will bring the community together and create a buzz in the town.”
The Pop Up Market will be coming to Earlestown Market on Saturday 12 April from 10:00am-4:00pm.
Don’t miss The Teenage Market at Earlestown Market next weekend.
Taking place on Saturday 22 March between 10:30am-3:00pm, the Teenage Market – supported by St Helens Borough Council and fully-funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund – offers young makers, designers, and entrepreneurs the unique opportunity to run a market stall for free.
