Popular Southport restaurant celebrates 5 years of service with a new dining deal
2 months ago
The popular venue, at 1-5 Lord Street, has recently expanded its opening hours to seven days a week, now opening on Mondays. Diners can enjoy a 25% discount every Monday during October to celebrate.
Kalash Divine Indian in Southport recently updated its menu with some tasty new street food and delicious new dishes to wow customers.
The sophisticated Indian restaurant has also undergone a fresh new look, with a refurbishment that has included new furniture, new wallpaper and more.
It’s part of an ongoing renaissance taking place at the southern section of the historic Lord Street boulevard.
While there has been huge investment in the ‘Northern Quarter’ at the top end of Lord Street in recent years, with new developments such as The Grand and the Lord Street Hotel, the southern end is now taking its turn in the spotlight.
Plans for 109 new hotel rooms, 12 luxury apartments, a spa and theatre at the Garrick, and for a new 30-bedroom Wetherspoon Hotel, both near Kalash, were approved earlier this year.
In the meantime, Kalash continues to be a trailblazer for quality independents at the southern end of the street. It’s no longer the new kid on the block.

âWe are very proud to be five star rated on both TripAdvisor and Google.
âWe are very humbled by the feedback we have received from diners over our five years here.
âWhile we attract people from across the region, we would still love to invite anyone who has not tried Kalash yet to call in and see what you think. What we offer is unique.
âWe have recently unveiled our Christmas menu for this year, which is a fantastic way for people to enjoy Christmas Day with a difference.â
Behind the success of Kalash Divine Indian is a talented team of chefs, who spend hours in the kitchen preparing all the dishes from scratch using the freshest and most authentic ingredients.
The newly expanded menu celebrates all the very best of Indian food from all corners of the subcontinent.
New dishes recently added to the menu include an Indian street food classic, âyoghurt bombsâ, or Sev Puri; Bhatti Ka Murg; chunks of boneless chicken, marinated with curd, chilli, crushed coriander, royal cumin, nutmeg, peppercorn, infused in malt vinegar, grilled in the clay oven; Samundri Ratan; scallops, mussels and squid tossed in mustard, garlic and cumin flavoured spicy Goan tomato masala; Matar Mushroom Makhana: button mushroom, green peas cooked with onion, tomato and home made grind whole spices, finished with fresh cream and fox nuts; King Prawn Jalfrezi.
The new dishes that have been introduced are from all over India, some from the north, some from the south; there are very big differences in the ingredients and the spices used, which means there is a real variety for customers to try.
