P is for Punch, but it’s also for Party – and Punch Tarmey’s Liverpool promises the best celebrations throughout the whole of December as the famous city venue gets set for the festive season.
There’ll be food, drinks, sport and, of course, live music, with acts that are guaranteed to get you dancing in your seats – and out of them.
“We’re doing what we do best, and giving people a great night out,” says Amanda Provan, marketing and events manager.
“We’ve got two years of celebrations to make up for this Christmas and New Year, so we’ve got a fabulous festive line-up, including some very special guests.
“From our events in The Courtyard to our packed weekends of live music on the main stage, there’s really only one place to be.”
Garry Cinnamon kicks off the Christmas in the Courtyard series with his tribute to GERRY Cinnamon on December 11; followed by Oaces on Friday, December 17, and The Beatles ‘For Sale’ on Saturday, December 18.
Tickets are only £10 and while they’re outside in The Courtyard – which people might prefer, ‘especially if Covid creeps up again’, says Amanda – it’s a covered area with plenty of heating and lighting to make it fab and festive.
The Open Mic nights will continue on Thursdays throughout the month, but inside there’s also live music every Friday to Sunday, with some of Punch Tarmey’s favourite bands and singers like Ukebox, X Factor finalist Kiera Weathers, Zeffa, Ethan Allen, SoulJam, and Punch’s resident artist, Jack Bennett, and more.
“We’ve chosen the best of the best,” says Amanda, “and the full line-up is all there on our website so guests can be sure to get down when all the acts they love are on.”
Not forgetting New Year’s Eve, when there’s a Party at Punch with live music acts inside and out waiting to take you into 2022 (tickets are £20 early bird, £25 general release).
So, whether you’re going out with your mates, you’ve got a work’s do, or you fancy getting the family together for a bit of festive fun, you can bank on a great time at Punch and, save for certain events and group gatherings, you don’t even need to book.
“We’ve tried to keep it simple so it’s walk-ins only,” adds Amanda. “That way you can come whenever you fancy, and enjoy a warm welcome and our superb atmosphere.”
You do need to book if there’s a group of you but then, while you’re at it, you can book a Punch Tarmey Festive Sharing Platter too, with food faves like Mugs of Pigs in Blankets, Hot and Spicy Chicken Wings, Brie Wedges with Cranberry Sauce, Mince Pies and more, from £10 per person or £15 with a glass of fizz.
And last, but by no mean’s least, sport is still special at Punch and, with some huge sporting fixtures throughout December, from F1 Grand Prix to the William Hill World Darts Championships, and the top Premier League and UEFA Champions League footie fixtures, you can be sure to catch them all on the big screens.
Let the good times begin!
