Late Night Shopping in Liverpool has never been more fun!

Even if you’re super organised and got your gifts in nice and early, who doesn’t love a stroll around the city centre at night with all the twinkly lights and candy cane decorations and maybe a Lindt hot chocolate or a little treat for yourself….a pair of new shoes…..or three, well, it is Christmas?!

Maybe you’re more of a shopping ninja and go out prepared with a list to nip in and out of pre-selected stores for your carefully chosen click and collect orders! Ahhh we can only dream of such organisation!

Whichever way you buy your presents, late night shopping is officially underway and we’ve got all the info you need to have a successful trip into the city center this December.

Liverpool Christmas Market

First up if you are on Church Street looking for the now annual Liverpool Christmas Market then STOP! It has moved to outside St George’s Plateau with Shrek over looking it at his Dreamworks Light display inside the Hall. Over 40 festive stalls bringing you everything from crafts, gifts, giant sausages and of course crepes (it is now a ritual to have a nutella crepe at Christmas in Liverpool. The Market is open until Thursday 22 December from 11:00 – 21:00 on Monday – Saturday and 11:00 – 17:00 on Sundays.

St Johns Shopping Centre

Following a £6m renovation earlier this year, a shiny and bright St Johns Shopping Centre is open again and ready to help you have the best Christmas ever. Have you seen the beacon all lit up from the new steps by Clayton Square?With stores such as Home and Bargain, 99p Store, The Entertainer and Clintons, you could have your gifts, cards and wrapping done in one fell swoop at St Johns.

Open from 9am til 7pm with the addition of the 24 hour car park (which is one of the most affordable in the city) and the food court serving up everything from noodles to nuggets, St Johns is definitely back in business. Click here for more store listings.

The Met Quarter

The mecca of luxury brands, The Met Quarter is looking festive and ready to party with everything your heart desires from jewellery to shoes, modern art and stalwart of quirky Christmas decorations, Paperchase! Mac is taking bookings for your Christmas party make-overs and the lads can get suited and booted courtesy of Armani Exchange, All Saints and Jack Wills.

With extended opening hours especially for those last minute dot com-ers, there’ll be loads more time to browse all the goodies on offer and maybe take in a glass of bubbly at Carluccio’s!

Liverpool One

Imagine having your own festive hashtag to kick off late night shopping in Liverpool! Share your shopping selfies on social media using #Getchristmassy to join in all the Liverpool One winter action. From Saturday 26th November, stores within the Liverpool One complex are open from 9am til 9pm and from 8am til 9pm for Christmas week.

Alongside lots of in-store activities at the likes of John Lewis, you can also take an Apre-Ski break at the alpine Bar Hutte, situated under the unmissable 30m tall Christmas tree or let the kids burn off some steam at the Chavasse Park fairground (while your other half tries to stash all the gifts in the boot at the Liverpool One car park).

Bold Street

Bold Street is the hub of individuality and the best place to bag yourself a unique gift during late night shopping in Liverpool, this Christmas. With vintage clothing from Cow and Resurrection to quirky homewares from Utility, jewellery and ceramics from MI VIDA, stationery and modern art from Rene’s, you’re spoiled for choice. Lots of Bold Street stores are open until 7pm and with the roaring restaurant trade, theres no better time to make a night of it!

We’ve lost count of just how many restaurants, bars and cafe’s there are in and around Bold Street to stock up on a hot chocolate, winter cocktail or world cuisine while out perusing the shops for that special gift. One very special bonus awaits right at the very top too, how beautiful does the bombed out church look strewn with twinkly lights? The Albert Dock

The Grade 1 Listed buildings of our historical Albert Dock might not be your first choice for late night shopping in Liverpool, but you’d be surprised at what lies in store. Firstly the Tate Liverpool gift shop is an awesome treasure trove for little stocking fillers that kids will love. From stationery sets and puzzles to colouring books and craft sets, all at affordable prices too.

If you have family visiting over Christmas pick up a little memento from With Love from Liverpool, where Superlambanana’s, Penny Lane road signs and of course Liverbird EVERYTHING is always in stock!
