Reminisce Festival 2021: Everything you need to know if you are heading to Sherdley Park
3 years ago
The ultimate Old Skool party everybody loves is back at Sherdley Park this Saturday and, with Covid causing last yearâs Reminisce Festival to be cancelled, this is the one weâve really all been waiting for.
DJ Lee Butler and the team are in St Helens after promising to make the massive dance event âbigger and betterâ than ever before.
And if youâre one of the lucky ones with tickets â or even if youâre not â hereâs everything you need to knowâŚ
Whoâs performing?
It might be easier to ask who isnât with more than 150 acts and DJs set to descend on Sherdley Park for the one-day festival favourite.
Barbara Tucker, K-Klass, 2-Funky2, Beverley Skeete, Rozalla, Basshunter, Vengaboys, Lasgo, Sybil, Robin S and N-Trance are among the names, with appearances from familiar faces from the past like Atomic Kitten, East 17, 5ive and the Cheeky Girls in the Fezzy Pop tent too.
DJs include Dave Pearce, John Cotton, Judge Jules, Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul, and of course, Lee Butler (and ever our very own Pete Price).
How many stages are there â and what are they?
There are six stages: The Reminisce Arena, The Bounceback Arena, LoveHouse, Quadrant in the Park, Fezzy Pop, and Garlands Gold Outdoor Stage.
How do I know what time is my favourite artist on stage?
Unfortunately you donât! Reminisce doesnât release the set times of individual artists in advance so the best advice is get there early so you donât miss out.
What times do gates open?
Reminisce runs between 12pm and 11pm but don’t forget LAST ENTRY IS 7PM. So don’t be late!
How do I get there?
If youâre driving by car set the postcode for WA9 5DE in your SatNav. Sherdley Park is in West Sutton in the south of St Helens, sandwiched between Marshalls Cross Road, Elton Head Road and St Helens Linkway. Access to Sherdley Park is via Marshalls Cross Road (A569) or Scorecross (A569) or from Elton Head Road (B5204).
Thereâs no parking on site but there is a car park at Lea Green Station over the road â speaking of which, if you want to get to the festival by train, head for Lea Green Station which is a two-minute walk away. Itâs on the Liverpool to Manchester (Northern) line.
There are buses from St Helens which pass the park including the nos 17, 30 and 35. Best bet on the day though is to check the Arriva timetable for more details www.arrivabus.co.uk
Going back to Liverpool after? Arriva buses will be outside the festival site and will take you back to Liverpool City Centre for just ÂŁ5 per person. T&Cs apply, and itâs on a first-come, first-served basis, available from 10pm until 12:30am on Marshalls Cross Road.
Britannia will be the only taxi company who will have their own designated pick-up point inside the Reminisce festival site which will be staffed and secure to make sure you get home quickly and safely. Just go to the designated pick-up point.
Do I need a COVID test?
No. Reminisce Festival is not using COVID Certification as a condition of entry, BUT you can take advantage of its âFast Trackâ entry (limited tickets are available in advance, subject to availability) if you can provide proof of double vaccination via the NHS App.
Organisers are encouraging everyone who is attending to take a test at home within 36hrs prior to the event and again on day two and day five after the event – even if you have had both doses of the COVID-19 vaccination.
Whatâs the weather looking like?
Itâs not looking like thereâs going to be a heatwave on Saturday with temperatures around 19 degrees, and light cloud and a gentle breeze forecast. Thereâs between 9-15% chance of rain so maybe pack a waterproof and, just in case â you never know â some Factor 50!
How can I listen from home?
In Demand Radio are broadcasting live all day from the In Demand Broadcast Bus at Reminisce, and The Guide Liverpool are teaming up with them to bring you all of the action with our fab hosts Gemma and Josh.
