‘Run for the 96’ 5K 2016 coming to Stanley Park in May…
8 years ago

Following the inaugural and very memorable ‘Run For The 96’ 5K in 2015, details of this year’s event have been officially announced – the 2016 run takes place on Sunday 22 May.
The community legacy fun run remembers the 96 Liverpool fans who lost their lives on 15 April 1989 in the Hillsborough tragedy, their families and the survivors.
Run For The 96 5K takes place in Stanley Park, a fitting location between the home grounds of Liverpool Football Club and Everton Football Club.
The event’s two official charities are the Liverpool FC Foundation and Everton in the Community, who are the club charities of the two Merseyside football giants. Participants are invited to fundraise for the two charities, and monies raised are split equally between them.
The launch event also marks the official announcement that £8,113.32 was raised for the Liverpool FC Foundation and Everton in the Community through the 2015 event.
Emmerdale actor Kurtis Stacey will be taking part and was there today for the Guide Liverpool.
