Sam Serrano leads inclusive comedy night “It’s a Riot” at Hot Water Comedy Club
1 day ago

When Liverpool Pride was cancelled, local comedian and rising star Sam Serrano wasn’t about to let the city go without queer joy and celebration.
Instead, they launched “It’s A Riot!” – a bold, unapologetic, and laugh-out-loud funny queer comedy night at the legendary Hot Water Comedy Club.
Tickets are just £5, making it one of the most accessible nights of top-tier comedy in the city.
Sam Serrano (Comedy Central Live, Rosie Jones’s Disability Comedy Extravaganza on UKTV Play) leads the lineup, bringing their trademark mix of sharp wit and honest storytelling. Known for challenging perceptions with humour and heart, Sam has quickly become one of the most exciting non-binary voices on the UK comedy circuit.
Joining them is Louise Young (BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, Comedy Central Live), a Geordie powerhouse whose observational style and warm stage presence have won hearts across the UK. Louise’s recent TV appearances and her work supporting the likes of Alan Carr and Jason Manford on tour have cemented her as one to watch.
Also taking the mic is rising talent AJ Rohan, bringing fresh, high-energy queer comedy with a unique voice that’s making waves on stages up and down the country.
“It’s A Riot!” is more than just a comedy night—it’s a grassroots response to the loss of queer spaces, a night of resistance, joy, and community. Expect big laughs, bold truths, and a celebration of queer voices in one of Liverpool’s most iconic comedy venues.
