Save The Rave returns to Liverpool for a Christmas special at Club 051
5 hours ago
Get ready to step back in time this December as Save The Rave returns to Liverpool for its first-ever Christmas special.
The cult 90s and 00s dance event is taking over the city’s iconic 051 club on Friday 6 December, swapping the festival field for a seven-hour festive club night packed with nostalgia, lasers and hands-in-the-air energy.
Organisers are promising a full production show with lights, lasers and live performances from legendary names including P*rn Kings, Rachel McFarlane and 2Funky2. They’ll be joined by well-known DJs Lee Butler, Ian Longo, Rob Cain, Miss Mollie and 051 vinyl legend Dave Graham, along with Rapid DJ and Wes P.
Save The Rave has become one of the UK’s biggest old skool dance experiences, attracting more than 100,000 people to summer festivals around the country. Now under new ownership, the team is planning to expand the brand with intimate club nights, new collaborations and more headline acts alongside its huge outdoor events.

Promoter and DJ Davy T said: “It’s amazing to see people still love these old skool tunes. Tracks like ‘Up To No Good’ and ‘Shake Ya Shimmy’ still blow up the dancefloor today. We’re going to bring that same energy to Club 051 this December.”
New co-owner Ste James added: “We’re refreshing the brand and taking Save The Rave into new spaces – smaller gigs, different genres, and more headline acts. But the heart of it stays the same: carefree nights, great music and pure nostalgia. The 051 night will be a big part of that new chapter.”
Tickets for the Christmas special start from £17, with organisers keen to keep events affordable. “People are feeling the pinch right now, so we want to make sure everyone can come out, forget their worries and have a boss night out,” Ste added.

Club 051 legend Dave Graham said: “I played the Save The Rave Festival in Southport a few years ago and it was incredible. Bringing it back to 051 feels right, that’s where Liverpool’s dance scene exploded in the 90s. It’s going to be something really special.”
Save The Rave: The Christmas Rave takes place on Friday 6 December from 8pm to 3am at Club 051.
Tickets are available now at Skiddle.
