Scouse Baby Orla is back – and in her latest video she’s cuter than ever!

The Liverpool toddler became an internet sensation last year when more than 15 million people viewed a TikTok clip of the then 19-month-old because of the Scouse accent obvious in her baby babble.

Now she is the star of a new video for BBC’s Tiny Happy People – and the two-year-old from Dingle’s even more adorable.

Orla, who now has her own Instagram account, is seen chatting with mum Rhiannon and pointing out pictures of everyday objects like a spider, ‘wellie boots’, a flower and a ballerina.

Rhiannon introduces the reel saying it’s ‘how things are pronounced according to my Scouse two-year-old’ before Orla starts shouting out what each picture is as it pops up on the screen.

She’s spot on with things like the spider and the flower and goes on to make the sound of a chicken when she sees the farmyard creature.

And the gorgeous youngster is hilarious when she mistakenly calls a bunny a pig before hopping like a bunny rabbit … and reckons a bag is where you put cake!

Kyle Rice is digital producer for Tiny Happy People, a service from BBC Children’s & Education that provides simple, evidence-based activities, tips and advice to support parents and carers as they develop the speech, language and communication skills of their 0–4-year-old children.

Scouse Baby Orla

Kyle says:

“BBC Tiny Happy People first started working with Orla and her mum Rhiannon when we caught the viral video of her babbling away with a Scouse accent last year.

“Immediately we were struck by how engaged she was with the adults around her. She’s one of a number of content creators we work with that exemplify ‘Tiny Happy People’, children whose parents and carers model ways to engage with little ones in a loving, nurturing way to boost their early learning.

“With the latest Reel, we were keen to see how Orla’s language skills have developed since we first introduced her to our audience and she showcases her unique view on the world when presented with some images of things she encounters in her everyday life.”

Kyle adds:

“We love how the lipstick is her mum’s ‘lippy’ – and football can only mean ‘Liverpool’!”

Rhiannon was inundated with messages after the clip last year which saw Orla chit-chatting away to her friend Olayka who was looking after her.

Olayka was trying to get Orla to bed when she started crying but stopped when Olayka started speaking to her.

She shared the video of their ‘conversation’ with Rhiannon before posting it online where everyone commented on her Scouse accent, even though Orla couldn’t speak any proper words.

Rhiannon said later it was lovely to hear how the video had made people’s day.

And we’re sure this latest clip from Tiny Happy People is going to do just the same.
