Seel St Venue is the new nightclub bringing South American sound to Liverpool

Advertorial

Seet St Venue’s the best new nightclub at the heart of one of the liveliest areas in the city.

Opening in a former garage building next to Heebies, Seel St Venue is owned by the same people as the fab Castle Street Townhouse.

Assistant general manager, Jenny Collins, smiles: “It’s for people in that in-between bit, between being a student and wanting to go to Castle Street Townhouse.

“But there’s something for everyone and we’re definitely a welcoming venue. We’re hoping to get a mix of ages; it’s a great bar, there’ll be a great atmosphere … and it’s really exciting.”

Seet St Venue promises top service and some of the best nights around, and if you need any more reasons why you should get yourself into first gear and head to Liverpool’s latest nightclub, here’s five:

1. Thursday night is student night, which means loads of great offers to make that loan stretch as far as possible. If you want an idea of how ‘great’, what about a round for five pound?! That includes a bottle, a shot, and a bomb. Music is provided by resident DJ Vinnie Spheres who likes to keep the atmosphere chilled and relaxed with an R ‘n’ B vibe.

2. If you fancy a South American sound and the chance to practice your salsa moves, then from November 11 it will be one of THE places to go, because Friday night is Latin Night. There’ll be a Latin DJ and a distinctly Brazilian feel, says Jenny: “Latin nights are becoming more and more popular in Liverpool, and it’s a break from the norm when everything can get quite samey. There’s a great Latino community in Liverpool and it brings with it the culture that people really enjoy.

“It’s a night where there’s a chance to dance, it doesn’t take itself too seriously, and it’s just fun.”

3. Welcome to weekends! Saturdays are Notorious Saturdays, and that’s back with R ‘n’ B vibes with DJ Vinnie. It’s just a good club night, adds Jenny. “The venue’s perfect because it’s got seating but there also space to dance, and the DJ booth is fantastic.”

Sundays are Gin-Induced Sundays, open to everyone but with discounts for those who’ve been on the other side of the bar all week and want the chance to relax and let their hair down too!

4. Seet St Venue is a work of art in itself! The décor is fantastic with huge murals which have been designed and created especially for the venue. It’s bright and colourful with a distinctly tropical feel and an Art Deco influence: “It’s striking and it’s unique,” says Jenny.

5. There’s a great drinks menu with classic cocktails like your Pornstar Martinis and Margaritas, and in-house specials like the amazing-sounding Seel St Punch which contains peach liqueur, spiced rum, apricot liqueur, pineapple juice, lime juice, and sugar syrup, all created by the Townhouse group’s expert mixologists; there’s a superb wine selection and draught beers, and shot boards with four shots for £12.
