Sign up now for St Helens Colour Run, returning this June
Last year's St Helens Colour Run

Get ready to brighten up your summer as the St Helens Colour Run returns to Victoria Park this June, with registration now open!

The St Helens Colour Run is a fun-filled, family-friendly event is organised by St Helens Borough Council’s Active Lives and Sports Development team in partnership with Willowbrook Hospice and sponsored by PSD Vehicle Rental.

St Helens Colour Run offers participants the chance to run, skip, or walk a 4k route around the Green Flag award-winning park while being covered in safe, biodegradable coloured powder.  All while raising vital funds for Willowbrook Hospice which provides specialist palliative care for patients across St Helens and surrounding areas.

Since launching in 2023, the Colour Run has grown bigger and bigger, with 500 people taking last year resulting in an incredible £15,000 raised for Willowbrook, with organisers hoping for more of the same this time around.

Encouraging people to sign up for the event, Gemma Ireland, Active Lives and Sports Development Officer at St Helens Borough Council, said:

“St Helens Colour Run has established itself as a successful community event and a great example of collaborative partnership working so we’re glad to bring it back to Victoria Park which is a beautiful, green setting to hold such an event.

“Colour runs are always popular as they allow families – even those who aren’t avid runners – to come together and enjoy a day out. We’re hoping for another fantastic turnout this year, with hundreds of residents coming together to get active for such a worthy cause, close to so many hearts.”

Suzanne Davies, Head of Fundraising at Willowbrook Hospice, added:

“We are thrilled to be partnering with St Helens Borough Council once again for this fantastic event in Victoria Park. It costs £5.2m annually to run all our patient services, but we only receive £1.5m from NHS funding. The support from events like this is absolutely crucial for us to continue providing the highest level of care for our patients.”

The run will take place in Victoria Park on Saturday 28 June, with participants asked to arrive at 12:00pm for a 12:30pm start.

Entry to take part is £10 for adults, £5 for children and young people up to the age of 16, or £20 for a family of four.
