Something About George brings George Harrison story back to Liverpool

A celebration of the life and music of George Harrison is heading back to Liverpool as Something About George – The George Harrison Story returns on its spring 2026 tour.

The acclaimed stage show will arrive at Liverpool’s Epstein Theatre on 21 February 2026, as part of a second leg of dates across Britain and Ireland, following sell-out performances and widespread praise last year.

The production comes from the team behind Something About Lennon, which honours Liverpool icon John Lennon, and was originally premiered at the Liverpool Theatre Festival in 2021, where it received an enthusiastic reception. Since then, it has gone on to win accolades at the Edinburgh Fringe and play to packed-out theatres nationwide.

Fronted by West End performer and musician Daniel Taylor, the show tells the story of the so-called “quiet Beatle”, tracing George Harrison’s journey through The Beatles, his groundbreaking solo career and his time as part of supergroup The Traveling Wilburys.

Audiences can expect live performances of much-loved songs including My Sweet Lord, Something, Got My Mind Set on You and Handle With Care, alongside a selection of Beatles classics that helped define a generation.

Daniel Taylor, who has previously played John Lennon on stage and appeared in productions including Blood Brothers and Twopence to Cross The Mersey, is joined by a live band led by musical director Joe Smithson.

Producer Bill Elms said the return to Liverpool feels particularly special.

“We had an incredible response from audiences when the show played Liverpool before, including two sold-out performances in George Harrison’s birthplace,” he said. “It’s only right that the story returns to the city as part of this new run of dates.”

Something About George celebrates Harrison’s songwriting, spirituality and influence, offering a moving tribute to a musician whose legacy continues to resonate across generations.
