Ice Skating Southport has extended the time it’s opening due to popular demand.
The rink, made using real ice, opened at Victoria Park in Southport on Saturday 30th November and was due to run until Monday (30th December 2024).
But due to growing popularity and the continuation of the school summer holidays next week, organisers have now decided to extend the times that families can skate there for four extra days next week.
The Ice Skating Southport management team said:
“Exciting news! We’re extending our opening hours!
“Join us for an incredible experience from 11am to 7pm on Thursday, 2nd January 2025; Friday 3rd January 2025; Saturday, 4th January 2025; and Sunday, 5th January 2025.
“Come and enjoy our sessions for only £9 each on these dates.
“This is a limited time opportunity, and we anticipate high demand.
“Don’t miss out, book your spot online ASAP via our Ice Skating Southport website to avoid disappointment.
“Click the link to secure your sessions now.”
Nearly 13,000 visitors enjoyed the popular attraction last year.
Ice Skating Southport has been brought to town for the third year in a row by North West Marquee Hire.
The management team said:
“We’re really pleased to be back at Victoria Park in Southport!
“There is something really magical about ice skating in and around the festive season.
“It’s fantastic for children and for families, but we get people of all ages coming to enjoy ice skating.
“We can accommodate people in wheelchairs to come ice skating, although we ask them if they can contact us in advance, so we can make sure they are coming at a suitable time which is best for them.
“We can do group booking for 10 or over just contact us via our website.
“The ice skating rink is situated inside a large marquee. An adjacent marquee is where we provide food and drink, with an on-site bar, and food including burgers, sausages and more.”
