Southport Seaside Weekender brings huge pop and dance lineup to Victoria Park
3 years ago
The Southport Seaside Weekender takes place in June
A three-day long festival is coming to Southport’s Victoria Park this summer with the likes of Sonique, Liberty X, Lee Butler and more performing live
On the weekend of Friday 10th June 2022 the Southport Seaside Weekender will be the largest festival to ever come to Southport and will feature some of the biggest names in pop, 90s Dance and tribute acts.
The three day festival in Victoria Park will feature a POPLIFE event on Friday 10th June with the likes of Five, Gareth Gates, Blazing Squad, Liberty X and The Cheeky Girls on the line up. The all day outdoor event will feature food trucks, stalls, confetti cannons, entertainers and more — with child tickets from £2, adult tickets from £15 and V.IP tickets for £60.
Saturday 11th June is all about the SAVE THE RAVE 90s dance event — with legendary acts such as Sonique, K Klass, 2Funky2, N Trance and Lee Butler on stage for a day and night of 90s nostalgia. There’ll be pop-up gin and prosecco bars, street food trucks, food stalls, retro 90’s anthems, jaw dropping visuals, performers and giveaways — with tickets from £40 and V.I.P tickets £80.
On Sunday 12th June there’ll be a big LOOKALIKE TRIBUTE event with some of the best tribute acts in the UK playing music from the likes of The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac, ABBA, Oasis, David Bowie and Queen. In addition to a jam packed bill of diverse music, you can expect pop up gin and prosecco bars, street food stalls, performers, giveaways and more — with child tickets from £2, adult tickets from £15 and V.IP tickets for £60.
Southport Seaside Weekender is a follow up from the massively successful two day festival in 2021 that sold out both days — the Save The Rave 90s Dance event on the Saturday and the Look A Like Tribute Festival event on the Sunday. This year’s festival will feature those same two events with even bigger line ups — adding the pop event on the Friday to it to make it the biggest and best festival to ever come to the seaside town.
Organiser James Daly, of Jaly Concerts, said:
“We were blown away by the success of last year’s festival. Both events on the Saturday and Sunday sold out and it was great to see everyone enjoying themselves after lockdown. To bring so many iconic acts and big names to Southport was amazing but 2022 we’re going even bigger!”
He continued: “With the 2021 festival being such a big hit and a really positive response from the 2022 announcement, the 2022 event is looking to be another great success. It’s a really diverse line up across the weekend so there’s something for everyone, whether you want to attend just one of the days or the full weekend. It’s going to be incredible and we’re really excited about it!”
Day and weekend tickets for Southport Seaside Weekender are already selling fast, so with another full sell-out expected it’s recommended to secure yours sooner rather than later. Tickets can be secured for each event or you can buy a full festival weekend pass for £82.75 or £165.25 for a VIP festival pass. Another triumph for Jaly Concerts and for Southport, the Southport Seaside Weekender is set to be one of the best local events of 2022!
