Dancers from businesses across Southport took to the dancefloor at the Prince Of Wales Hotel in Southport to raise money for the Queenscourt Hospice.

Dancers dazzled and the fundraising was phenomenal as Strictly 2025 took place at the Prince Of Wales Hotel in Southport.

The evening was sponsored by The Lloyd Group and Kingswood Homes

A packed audience in the glamorous Prince Of Wales ballroom was treated to sensational performances by 10 fundraising dancers along with their pro dancers.

They trained over several months under the watchful eyes of Kaz Leach and her team at Marshside School of Dance in Southport.

VIP guests included Deputy Lieutenant of Merseyside Lady Marina Dalglish MBE and Mayor of Sefton Cllr June Burns.

Crowned Strictly Queenscourt 2025 Winners were 20-year-old property developer Adam Mackin and pro dancer Megan Hosker who wowed with their quickstep to ‘You’re The One That I Want’ from Grease.

Adam impressed further by revealing he has only recently recovered from tearing anterior cruciate knee ligaments to take part, missing weeks of training.

The Top Fundraiser, raising over £6,000 for Queenscourt, was Kingswood Homes site manager Luke Redshaw, who performed musical theatre to ‘I Want It That Way’ by Backstreet Boys and ‘Jump Around’ by House Of Pain alongside Grace Jones. Luke has already nominated a colleague at Kingswood Homes to take his place on the dancefloor next year!

Winners of the Audience Vote were David Lloyd, head of The Lloyd Group, and Amy Clayton, who danced a tango to the theme song from the Pirates of the Caribbean.

The evening was brilliantly hosted by Hayley Jones and Ian Lawson, with Hayley later singing to entertain guests as they took to the dancefloor themselves to party the night away.

This year’s judges were: Alex Toal, Kelly Bond, Jim Briscoe and Iona Dique.

Further funds were raised through an auction and raffle with prizes generously donated by local businesses.
