Sporting history is made on the third & final day of The Randox Health Grand National 2019
5 years ago

What an incredible day! The Randox Health Grand National promised drama and it didn’t disappoint.
Tiger Roll became the first horse to win two successive Grand Nationals in 45 years, the first since the legendary Red Rum.
They said it couldn’t be done, but a little horse with unparalleled ambition and drive has gone and clinched his second Grand National win. Jockey Davey Russel had enjoyed success at Cheltenham and also earlier in the day at Aintree before going on to claim the top spot with the now legendary Tiger Roll.
Jay, Gemma & Pete have been at Aintree for this momentous occasion, in the sunshine since gates opened capturing all the best dressed, getting your racing tips and we even got Pete on a horse ahead of the big race. Watch above as a historic day in horse racing, draws to a close.
Big thanks to Sky Bet’s Michael Shinners for his racing tips this morning and also to everyone who stopped to chat to our Gemma and Pete in the Red Rum Garden and in the stands. It’s been a huge honour to show the world what Aintree Racecourse and The Randox Health Grand National 2019 has to offer.
Has todays incredible atmosphere and scenes left you wanting more? Then look no further as Jay chats with Regional Director of The Jockey Club, Dickon White to find out what lies in store for 2020.
