SpudBros officially launch first regional store in Queen Square
51 minutes ago

SpudBros have officially launched their first regional regional SpudBros Express store in Queen Square Liverpool.
What began as a humble hot potato tram in Preston has grown into a viral sensation, with millions of fans online and queues around the block at every new opening. The Liverpool launch is the next step in the brothers’ nationwide roll-out, bringing their signature spuds to one of the UK’s most vibrant food cities.
The store opens its doors today with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, a live DJ set from Harley Nelson and a special gift for the first 100 customers through the door. From 3.30pm today, spuds will be on sale for just one penny to mark the official opening available until sold out.
Jacob Nelson, co-founder of SpudBros, said:
“Liverpool has always been one of the UK’s most exciting food cities, so it feels like the perfect place for our first SpudBros Express outside of London. The love we’ve had off Scousers already has been unreal – we can’t wait to see the queues snaking round Queen Square, just like they do in Preston and Soho. From a family business slinging spuds to a flagship store in the heart of Liverpool… it’s mad how far this thing’s come. Today’s a proper big moment for us.”

The new Liverpool store offers the same favourites that have already become cult classics, from the SpudBros Classic with garlic butter, their signature three-cheese mix, beans, crispy onions and world-famous tram sauce, to the Spudfather topped with chilli con carne, as well as tuna coleslaw, bolognese, and the option to create your own. In partnership with Taster and We Create Popular, SpudBros elevate the humble jacket potato with bold flavours and quality ingredients, transforming a comforting staple into a dish that surprises and satisfies in equal measure.
SpudBros’ journey began in 1955 when a hot potato cart first opened on Preston’s Flag Market. Decades later, Jacob and Harley Nelson have transformed the family tradition into one of the UK’s most recognisable food brands. With more than 4.5 million followers on TikTok, 186 million likes, 1.13 million YouTube subscribersand a fast-growing Instagram audience, they have built a brand that stretches from Preston to the world stage.
Their SpudBros Express concept was voted the number one TikTok food in Sidemen’s viral taste test, while collaborations with MrBeast, a kit sponsorship deal with Preston North End and widespread coverage in The Guardian, Sky Sports, LadBible, BBC Breakfast, The Times and Metro.co.uk have cemented their place in both food culture and mainstream media. Celebrity fans include Will Smith, Joe Jonas, Liam Neeson and Alex Warren.
The new SpudBros Express Liverpool store is located at Unit 2, Queen Square, Liverpool L1 1RH and is open 7 days a week 11am to 8pm.
