St George’s Hall to host its first Summer Market

On Fatherās Day, Sunday 16 June, Liverpoolās iconic St Georgeās Hall will transform into a bustling marketplace, showcasing over 80 of the best local independent businesses.
This highly anticipated event is a first of its kind for St George’s Hall, promising to be a celebration of the city’s small business community.
From 10.30am – 4.30pm, visitors can explore a variety of stalls both inside and outside St Georgeās Hall.
The outdoor food zone, located on the plateau near Lime Street Station, will offer a global culinary journey with delights such as Chinese cuisine and a Polish barbecue. For those with a sweet tooth, the market will feature crepes, cakes, and some of Liverpool’s finest chocolate makers.
Inside the hall, the experience continues with a fizz bar and 60 additional vendors, including artists, makers, and distillers, all showcasing their unique products.
The market aims to provide a diverse shopping experience, allowing visitors to discover handmade crafts, artisanal goods, and locally produced delicacies.
Adding to the lively atmosphere, shoppers will enjoy live music as they browse the stalls, creating a festive and engaging environment for all ages.
Entry to the market is free, making it an accessible and enjoyable outing for families celebrating Fatherās Day.
The Summer Market is not just a one-off event; organisers hope to establish it as a seasonal fixture, enhancing Liverpoolās already robust market scene. The city is well-known for its variety of markets, from the beloved weekly Great Homer Street Market, affectionately known as “Greatie Market,” to a regular schedule of farmers’ and craft markets.
