Stage-ed West End Summer Camp set to return to Floral Pavilion this month
26 minutes ago

The Floral Pavilion will once again become the home of the award-winning Stage-ed West End Holiday Camp which is returning for three thrilling weeks of theatrical fun and performance training.
Bursting with energy, creativity and showbiz sparkle, the camp is led by none other than West End talent Amy Perry – who will also take centre stage this Christmas as Sleeping Beauty in the Pavilion’s dazzling pantomime, produced by Martin Dodd and UK Productions.
From Monday 4 August to Friday 22 August, young people aged 6 to 21 can experience the magic of theatre in a fun, inclusive, and confidence-boosting environment. With themed weeks featuring numbers from Hamilton, Heathers, SIX, Matilda, The Greatest Showman, Back to the Future and more, participants will work with professional actors, choreographers, and musicians to build skills and friendships, and each week ends in a show-stopping showcase performance for friends and family.
Whether your child is just starting out or already dreaming of the West End, Stage-ed offers a safe, inspiring space to develop their craft. Then, at the end of the week, you will have the opportunity to see your stars in action as we present a spectacular end-of-holiday camp showcase performance on Friday, August 8, 15, and 22, 2025.
And this year, Amy Perry returns as one of the lead tutors, bringing with her a wealth of experience, passion, and infectious energy.
Amy Perry said:
“Stage-Ed has been such a huge part of my journey, and I’m thrilled to be back at the Floral Pavilion sharing my passion with the amazing young people of the Wirral. Watching their confidence grow is incredible – and I can’t wait to get onstage myself after so many years of putting on shows with Stage-Ed. I hope it shows our young people that anything’s possible.”
With an impressive résumé including Thoroughly Modern Millie (West End), Beetlejuice (Norwegian Cruise Lines), Seussical (Southwark Playhouse), Aladdin (Theatre Royal Bath, Blackpool Grand), and TV appearances like Channel 4’s 2023 Climate Change promo, Amy brings a wealth of West End and screen experience to both the classroom and the stage.
Pauline Campbell, Venue Manager at the Floral Pavilion, adds:
“We’re also delighted that Amy will be working with young performers during our Stage-ed summer school – it’s a fantastic opportunity for local talent to learn from one of the best – and then a great chance for them to see her this Christmas on the Floral’s stage.
“She [Amy] does Stage-ed every year,” Pauline added, “And I am sure this will encourage many of the kids that already know her, as well as this year’s young actors, to come to the Panto.”
Martin Dodd, Producer for UK Productions, added:
“Having Amy Perry in both the Stage-ed summer programme and starring as Sleeping Beauty this Christmas is an absolute win-win for the Floral Pavilion and its audiences. Amy’s West End credentials, from Beetlejuice to Thoroughly Modern Millie and beyond, speak for themselves. She’s a phenomenal performer with a real connection to young people and an infectious passion for theatre.
To have her inspiring future stars by day and dazzling onstage by night is something truly special. This year’s Sleeping Beauty isn’t just a pantomime; it’s a world-class production powered by real star quality.”
From Saturday 6 December 2025 to Sunday 4 January 2026, the Floral Pavilion will be swept into a whirl of enchantment, laughter, and festive wonder as Sleeping Beauty takes to the stage in what promises to be one of its most spectacular pantomimes to date. With thrilling choreography, a whip-smart script, and lighting effects that shimmer with magic, this is a Christmas show that promises joy in every glittering scene.

At the heart of this festive feast is a cast bursting with star quality, familiar faces from stage and screen who know exactly how to light up a room.
Kelle Bryan will cast her spell as the radiant Fairy Snowfall, bringing her unmistakable charisma and vocal brilliance to the role. A founding member of the Brit Award-nominated, multi-platinum girl group Eternal, Kelle helped define 90s British pop, before carving out an equally successful TV career. From her standout performances in Hollyoaks to her much-loved presence on Loose Women, Songs of Praise, and I’m a Celebrity…, she’s a true national treasure, and she’s set to sprinkle this year’s panto with irresistible star power.
Sean Jones returns as Lester the Jester, a role tailor-made for his razor-sharp comic instincts and boundless energy. Best known for his extraordinary two-decade run as Mickey in the internationally acclaimed Blood Brothers, Sean’s stagecraft, warmth and humour have made him a Floral Pavilion favourite. His return guarantees the kind of laugh-out-loud moments and audience rapport that only a true panto pro can deliver.
Bringing high-camp hilarity and scene-stealing sparkle is the incomparable Quinn Patrick, reprising his role as the fabulous Nanny Nora. A seasoned dame with a gift for comic timing and outrageous costumes, Quinn delivers the glitter, giggles and gasp-worthy one-liners that are a beloved panto tradition.
Not forgetting Amy Perry, whose vibrant stage career will add her brand of charm and talent to this spectacular casting. Starring as the wicked Carabosse, she will make an incredible return to the Pavilion stage.
Together, this phenomenal ensemble promises a pantomime packed with festive sparkle, theatrical magic, and unforgettable performances – a show that will leave audiences cheering, laughing, and glowing with Christmas joy.
Martin Dodd, Producer for UK Productions, says:
“This year’s Sleeping Beauty is going to be something truly special – a dazzling spectacle filled with West End-quality choreography, a laugh-out-loud script, and lighting and effects that will leave audiences in awe. With a phenomenal cast led by Kelle Bryan, this production is a must-see for families in the region.”
