After three sold-out West End runs and a smash hit UK tour, Death Drop: Back In The Habit comes to Liverpool Playhouse from Tuesday 7 to Saturday 11 February.
The RuPaul’s Drag Race series stars Cheryl Hole, Kitty Scott-Claus, Jujubee, Victoria Scone and the Drag King LoUis CYfer bring you this hilarious, thrilling comedy about a drag murder mystery.
Legendary drag queen and star of RuPaul’s Drag Race Cheryl Hole plays Sister Mary Berry. Cheryl is the face of Virgin Media’s Christmas campaign for the past two years and has appeared on Netflix’s I Like To Watch YouTube series. TV credits include Celebrity Juice, Comedy Central’s Your Face or Mine and BBC’s Strictly Frocked Up.
Superstar Victoria Scone, the international drag performer who made history on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK as the first female drag performer, will play Mother Superior. Recently, she returned to compete on Canada’s Drag Race: Canada vs The World Season 1, the second season of Drag Race vs The World.
Playing Sis Titis is RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series three finalist Kitty Scott-Claus. She has also appeared on BBC One Pointless Celebrities and Celebrity MasterChef 2022.
America’s most beloved fashion Drag Queen Jujubee will also be joining the cast as Sister Maria Julie Andrews. She is best known for being a top 3 finalist on Season 5 of RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars. Together with the original Death Drop alum and the winner of Drag Idol UK LoUis CYfer plays Father Alfie Romeo.
Producer Chris Clegg said:
“We wanted to bring drag back to theatres to prove that it’s not just something for pubs and clubs where you see some lip-synching and hear some jokes. It’s new characters, a new story, and new everything and you don’t need to have seen the first one to see this. We have a lot of people who haven’t been to the theatre before who are drag fans, and we have a lot of people who are theatre fans who haven’t seen much drag before, so it’s a great mixed audience.”
Death Drop: Back in the Habit is penned by Rob Evans and directed by Jesse Jones. Touring to Liverpool for one week only as part of a national tour. If you’re looking for a taste of the drag world with a much more mysterious, in-depth atmosphere, don’t miss the chance to celebrate queerness with a bunch of fierce nuns.
