Come inside Wreckfish Bistro on the corner of Seel and Slater Street where Chef Gary Usher has created the perfect menu and venue for you to enjoy.

We went for the Chicken Liver Pate and also Lamb Breast to start alongside freshly baked rosemary & thyme focaccia. 😍

For mains it was all about the Pan-fried fillet of Wreckfish, Chicken Snitzel and 7oz flat-iron steak with truffle and Parmesan chips. 🤩

Desserts was Sticky Toffee Pudding and custard, Vanilla Crème Brûlée and our fave… Chocolate Oblivion. 😋

All of the above was very reasonably priced, and every bite was delicious. If you haven’t already, then definitely get it on your list 👏

Series two of BBC drama Time, written by Jimmy McGovern, is due for release next month and the premiere will be held here in Liverpool.

Told through the lens of three very different inmates, the three-part second series is a moving and high-stakes portrayal of life inside a women’s prison. Arriving at Carlingford Prison on the same day, Kelsey (Bella Ramsey), Orla (Jodie Whittaker) and Abi (Tamara Lawrance) are thrown together to face an unfamiliar world.

Multi-award winning writer and proud Liverpudlian Jimmy McGovern will be among those attending the exclusive screening with key cast and creatives.

The red carpet event on Tuesday 17th October includes a preview of the first episode, ahead of its broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer later this Autumn, followed by a Q&A session.

Last night we were invited to Nova Scotia to sample its 2023 Christmas menu, a three course festive feast.🤩 The menu includes iconic dishes like pigs in blankets, a turkey roast dinner (with all the trimmings), sticky toffee pudding and loads more.

You can book a table right now and the restaurant can cater for small groups, families, colleagues and bigger groups too. On top of the food, there’s a new selection of festive-themed cocktails that you need to try when you visit! 🥂

The menu is £33 for three courses and is also available at Ma Boyles too. Nova Scotia’s sister venue, Tempest on Tithebarn, is also bringing back its small plates menu for Christmas too, and you can book a table there now. 🎅🎄

On Friday 20 and Saturday 21 October 2023, FACT celebrates its 20th Birthday with a weekend of free events for all to enjoy.

Marking two decades since the opening of the acclaimed arts centre, FACT Liverpool will host numerous celebrations for their birthday including the unveiling of two new major exhibitions.

There will be talks by contemporary artists and influential figures, family-friendly activities, the grand opening of Studio/Lab – a dedicated space for artistic experimentation, and a birthday party.

The festivities culminate with an official after party at District in the Baltic Triangle.
