Liverpool’s @metquarter is hosting a special International Women’s Day evening featuring a panel discussion, audience Q&A and film screening next week! 💃🫶

Taking place on Thursday 5 March from 6pm, the event will be hosted by The Guide Liverpool’s @gemmacutting and will feature a panel talk and Q&A with two inspirational mother and daughter duos.

There will be a 30-minute panel discussion which will include a Q&A section where guests will have the opportunity to ask the panelists about their career journeys, the importance of women supporting women, and how they are helping to inspire the next generation of girls.

The world-famous O Beach Ibiza is set to bring its iconic day-party energy to Merseyside for the first time ever.

O Beach Ibiza welcomes tens of thousands of sunseekers every season, and their unmistakable vibe will be coming to Aintree Racecourse for the Randox Grand National Festival in 2026, it is today announced.

For more than a decade, O Beach has been synonymous with sun-soaked daytime celebrations, high-impact production and a soundtrack that defines the Balearic spirit.

Across the full three-day meeting, O Beach will be based in Aintree’s Festival Zone, close to the Red Rum Garden, creating an elevated social hub designed to keep the atmosphere moving from the first arrivals to the final races.

Meet the actor taking on the role of a Liverpool great 🥊.

Aron Julius will play the mighty John Conteh at the Royal Court from 17 April and you can book tickets now.

John Conteh won gold at the Commonwealth Games at just 19 years old, and became a world champion by just 23 years old. This show will celebrate his incredible career, whilst also showing you what life was like outside of the ring for one of our city’s greatest sports heroes.
