Taste Liverpool, Drink Bordeaux will celebrate the city’s food and drink revolution for four days over Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend

For four days this summer over the extended Bank Holiday weekend, Liverpool comes alive with a brand-new festival – Taste Liverpool. Drink Bordeaux – which coincides with the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations across Thursday 2^nd – Sunday 5^th June.

Taste Liverpool. Drink Bordeaux is set to be the most delicious weekend of the year. Featuring an array of free activities including immersive takeovers by leading restauranteurs and chefs, cookery demonstrations and food inspired cultural events, many restaurants will also offer special festival menus to create a unique visitor experience for locals and tourists alike. 

Limited early bird tickets at £18.00 per adult for the Bordeaux Wine Experience are now on sale, taking place at the palatial Town Hall. Here, French flair will meet Scouse style with a touch of theatre for all to enjoy, blending the classic appeal of the breath-taking building with modern flourishes including a DJ and MC.

As the sole UK city to host the famous Bordeaux Wine Festival, it’s a huge honour for the prestigious event to be back in Liverpool as part of the forthcoming Jubilee celebrations. The iconic region has over 6000 vineyards producing a sumptuous array of red, white, sparkling and rosé wines, from affordable bottles through to special occasion vintages.

The Bordeaux Wine Experiences run from midday daily with the last session from 19.30pm and includes:

• Six tasting glasses of Bordeaux wine
• A complimentary Bordeaux wine glass
• Entrance to wine masterclasses throughout the day
• The opportunity to talk to the world’s finest wine producers
