That’ll Be The Day celebrates 40 years with UK tour stopping in Merseyside

Rock’n’roll spectacular That’ll Be The Day is back this autumn with a special 40th anniversary tour, bringing its legendary mix of music and comedy to audiences across the UK.

Created by Trevor Payne, the much-loved production takes fans on a nostalgic journey through the biggest hits of the 50s right up to the 80s, with classics from The Beatles, Cliff Richard, Tom Jones, Tina Turner, ABBA, Whitney Houston, Dolly Parton and more.

The anniversary tour promises the same feel-good formula that has kept fans coming back for four decades – a live band, top-class singers, laugh-out-loud sketches and vintage throwbacks that capture the golden age of rock’n’roll.

Over the years, That’ll Be The Day has raised more than £1 million for charities including Childline, Make A Wish, Help for Heroes and the Red Cross Ukraine Appeal, thanks to post-show bucket collections.

That’ll Be The Day kicks off its tour in Somerset this August before heading across the UK, including a stop at the Floral Pavilion in Merseyside later this year.
