The Brain Charity has marked another year of growth and progress with the launch of its 2024–2025 annual report, unveiled during its annual gathering on Thursday 6 November at the charity’s Liverpool headquarters.

The event brought together clients, volunteers, staff, trustees, funders, partners and supporters from across the UK for an evening that looked back on the work delivered over the past year and the difference it has made to people living with neurological conditions.

Guests also heard personal stories from those supported by the charity, highlighting the impact of its services and projects.

The evening opened with a welcome from the visiting lord mayor of Liverpool, before updates were shared by the charity’s chair of the board of trustees, Gus Baker, and several of its ambassadors.

Staff and clients spoke about the life-changing support the organisation provides and outlined new initiatives and community partnerships shaping its work for the year ahead.

A preview of the 2024–2025 annual report was one of the key moments of the night, giving attendees an early look at the charity’s achievements, financial performance and its ongoing commitment to improving life for the one in six people in the UK affected by neurological conditions.

Gus Baker, chair of the board of trustees, said the gathering was a chance to recognise the people who make the charity’s mission possible.

He said: “Our latest annual report reflects not only what we have achieved this year, but the continued focus on ensuring every brain can be amazing.”

The full annual report is now available to read and offers a detailed look at the charity’s progress, impact and plans for the future.

The report can be viewed here.
