The Coral are back with their second Listening Party tomorrow from 9pm hosted by Tim Burgess on Twitter here @Tim_Burgess, for their album Magic and Medicine.
The idea is that it’s a simple and interactive way for people to connect, through music during the lockdown.
Everyone is invited and press play on the album at the same time. The bands and heads involved in making each album then discuss each track in real time, sharing insights and stories and listeners and fans can chip in with comments and questions. Tomorrow’s get together is based around The Coral’s seminal album Magic and Medicine, which you can listen to on Spotify here.
Ian Skelly is also the creative force behind all of The Coral’s artwork. He is currently featured as part of the innovative online exhibition In Colours at Redhouse Originals, featuring a range of contemporary artists. You can find ian’s work here.
RedHouse Originals’ ‘In Colours’ features work by some of the world’s most sought-after contemporary artists including Harland Miller, Dan Baldwin (UK), Jonas Wood (US) and Nicolas Party (Switzerland) alongside such luminaries as David Hockney, Bridget Riley and Peter Blake.
The collection also includes artwork by several multi-platform artists including Ian Skelly (The Coral), Horace Panter (The Specials) and Candie Payne. This extensive collection of 70 paintings and prints by 24 artists. All works have been extensively photographed to enhance the viewing experience. This includes high-resolution fine detail shots and framed images to bring the gallery into the home.
The @BalticMarketLiv Live Stream is all set for bank holiday weekend. 🙌 We spoke to co-founder David Williams @IndpndtLiv about the event, and life after lockdown for one of the city's best loved venues. 🍴
