The Florrie is preparing for an unforgettable night to celebrate the rich history of an amateur football in Liverpool and are looking for local stories and memorabilia to form part of the evening.
Taking place on Saturday 9th August, A Celebration of South End Football will bring together past and present teams, players, and fans from across the south end football scene, in a tribute to the game played by so many and still loved by all.
The evening is a chance to reminisce, honour local football heroes and relive the passion and pride that amateur football brought to the Liverpool footballing community, with a gathering of past and present grassroots football teams joining in.
There will also be live entertainment from guitarist and singer Ben Burke, a quiz, food, replica cups and photo opportunities at this wonderful social occasion in the heart of Dingle.

Tony Caveny from The Florrie says:
“We want to make this event a true celebration of our local football history in the city and we’re reaching out to everyone for their help. So if anyone has any old photographs, memorabilia, or stories to share, we’d love to hear from you!
Please send them to tony@theflorrie.org or bring them along on the night to share with fellow football fans. We’d love to hear from you and celebrate all things football with our community at The Florrie. We are all very excited for this event.”
The event is kindly sponsored by sponsored by DMS CCTV Control Ltd and Calvey Restoration.
