The beloved event is back, bigger and brighter than ever before, lighting up Liverpool Cathedral in celebration of its centenary year.
Prepare to be dazzled by a brand-new, immersive light and sound experience created by the internationally renowned Luxmuralis team, made up of Sculptor Peter Walker and composer David Harper.
Get a first look at the magic of Starlight with newly released photos, capturing the brilliance and wonder of this immersive light and sound experience. Expect stunning projections, captivating soundscapes, and an entirely new Nativity story that brings the Cathedral’s historic architecture to life with radiant light art.
The Light Before Christmas has quickly become a family tradition in Liverpool, inviting visitors of all ages to marvel at light, sound, and holiday spirit. The Cathedral’s magnificent spaces transform into a luminous wonderland, allowing families and friends to come together and mark the start of the Christmas season with warmth and joy.
With new imagery and a dazzling story to uncover, this year’s experience is perfect for newcomers and returning visitors alike. The installation was recently named in the top 5 festive light shows in the UK by The Times.
