The Mersey Beatles are playing The Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena this summer

Fans of The Beatles – and their sensational hit TV series Get Back – are in for a real treat courtesy of The Mersey Beatles.

The world’s favourite Liverpool-born tribute to the Fab Four head home to The Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena on Saturday July 30 as part of their 2022 UK Tour.

The band are certainly no strangers to The Auditorium with their previous two shows at the stunning 1,200-capacity Mersey waterfront venue both sell-outs.

The Mersey Beatles all-new show for 2022 is quite simply a night no fan of the Fab Four will want to miss. The fantastic two-hour show is packed with smash hit singles, live rarities and a special celebration of songs that feature in the Peter Jackson-produced Get Back docu-series which charted the recording of The Beatles’ Let It Be album.

Just like the real thing, The Mersey Beatles hail from Liverpool where they were the resident Beatles tribute at the Cavern Club for a decade – playing more than 600 times at the world-famous venue.

Since leaving The Cavern, the band – Mark Bloor (John), Steven Howard (Paul), Craig McGown (George) and Brian Ambrose (Ringo) – have toured the world many times over.

They have won legions of fans, including John Lennon’s own family and The British Beatles Fan Club who rate them as “The best Beatles tribute band around”.

They have just played a sell-out run of dates in the USA and cannot wait to bring their all-new show – which charts The Beatles career from their early days in the Cavern Club to their final ‘Rooftop Concert’ in 1969 – to a hometown audience.

Steven said: “We are really looking forward to heading to the M&S Bank Arena on July 30. These hometown shows – in this brilliant venue – are always so special and there is a real energy and excitement that is just incredible.

“Each tour we do is different. We like to create a new show each year and this time we’ve put a setlist together which is not only packed with the hits everyone knows and loves, but also rarities audiences rarely get to see performed live.

“The show has gone down really well in America, Europe and all our UK dates so far and we cannot wait for a hometown audience to see it.”

Mark added: “Our new show takes the audience on a trip from the cellars of The Cavern, where The Beatles delivered pure rock’n’roll, through their UK theatre touring years, conquering America, their ground-breaking studio work right up to the ‘Rooftop Concert’ on top of the Apple building.

“Like all Beatles fans, we loved the Get Back series which charts the recording of the Let It Be album. We have included a number of stand-out tracks from the album which we know fans will love.”

Final tickets for The Mersey Beatles at The Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena are available now from ticketquarter.co.uk
