Itâs the most wonderful time of the year, so why not make it the most elegant and luxurious too?
Christmas at The Municipal Hotel Liverpool â M Gallery is going to be very special, and itâs not just the grand interiors that are spectacular.
The hotel is celebrating its first festive season after opening earlier this year within the iconic grade II listed Municipal building on Dale Street.
And, with huge Christmas trees and a wreath now adorning the columned entrance and lavish decorations throughout the hotel, itâs a fabulously stylish way to celebrate.
The Municipal has three options to choose from for seasonal get togethers, all offering something different so thereâs a menu and setting to suit everyone.
The Seaforth, the hotelâs beautiful British brasserie inspired by Liverpoolâs maritime history, is the perfect place for a traditional Christmas meal with family or workmates.
Youâll find two and three course menus, created by The Municipalâs chefs to feature the finest ingredients such as a celeriac and truffle veloutĂ© starter, and mains including roast turkey roulade served with confit potato, and pan-fried sea bass with butternut squash and chorizo risotto.
Theyâre available until December 31, and for extra sparkle you can add a glass of Champagne on arrival.
On Christmas Day itself, the Seaforth will host a sumptuous six-course Christmas lunch with Champagne on arrival and a free gift for every child.
If you prefer an afternoon gathering, maybe with a few friends or as a family treat, The Municipalâs Botanic Tea Room has a delicious festive afternoon tea, served with Champagne or mulled wine, also available until New Yearâs Eve, and served every day from 12noon to 5pm except Christmas Day.
It has all the classic savoury and sweet elements youâd expect, with a Christmassy twist, so there are turkey and stuffing, and brie and cranberry finger sandwiches, festive sausage roll, mince pie frangipane with brandy butter frosting, mini chocolate orange cheesecake and Christmas pudding choux.
Cocktails in the hotelâs showstopping Palm Court Bar are a must-do this Christmas, or have your own drinks reception with canapes in the Palm Court Library. Groups of between 20 and 80 can enjoy all the benefits of a private party but still be surrounded by the hotelâs most stunning space.
Gemma Gage, director of sales at The Municipal Hotel Liverpool, says they are making their first Christmas an exceptional one.
âWe wanted to cover a lot of customer bases, so if for instance youâre with a works party you could have lunch or dinner in Seaforth before maybe going on for a few drinks. If youâre visiting the Christmas markets in town with friends or family you could come in for a festive afternoon tea, and of course we have cocktails in Palm Court which is beautiful especially after dusk.
âThe days of everyone doing Christmas party nights have changed, people want a more informal option as well to get together, so weâve got something throughout the day to suit everybodyâs budget and lifestyle.â
