The Municipal Hotel & Spa named Liverpool BID Company’s Business of the Month for October
2 months ago
After launching in the city almost 18 months ago, MGallery’s Municipal Hotel & Spa has quickly become a go-to venue for visitors and residents.
Housed in the former council buildings on Dale Street, The Municipal Hotel has continued the tradition of being part of the fabric of Liverpool, so it’s no surprise Liverpool BID Company‘s chosen it as its Business of the Month for October.
It’s an accolade that’s been proudly accepted by The Municipal. Laura Delaney, digital marketing executive, says: “We are honoured to be named BID’s Business of the Month for October.
“This recognition speaks to our commitment to creating exceptional guest experiences here at The Municipal Hotel & Spa. We’re excited to continue welcoming visitors and crafting unforgettable memories for all who walk through our doors.”
And here are 6 reasons why those memories are made by Municipal…
Destination – discovery
Based in the heart of the city, Municipal Hotel & Spa is the ideal place to stay when you’re a visitor, close to so many iconic attractions and landmarks, like The Royal Albert Dock, the Royal Liver Building, Matthew Street and the Cavern Club, and so many more. It’s even one itself!
Landmark hotel
The incredible building was designed by corporation surveyor and grand architect John Weightman and built on behalf of the council to accommodate a growing number of staff. It opened in 1866 and is a Grade II listed building, well-known for its stunning architecture and, especially, its 210 ft clock and bell tower.
Luxurious new life
The former municipal building has been lavishly renovated and recreated to join Accor group’s prestigious boutique brand. With beautiful bars and restaurants – including the opulent grand entrance Palm Court Bar and the Seaforth Restaurant – and 179 rooms, it’s a stand-out addition to the city.
Did someone say Sunday Lunch?
The Municipal is launching an amazing new Sunday Lunch from October 6. The Seaforth Restaurant is open from 12-6pm, with live music from 1-4pm, and its delicious menu offers two courses for £33.95 and three for £39.95 with starters including soup of the day served with warm focaccia bread and Liverpool smokehouse salmon. Roast Cumbrian sirloin of beef, pan seared fillet of sea bass, and vegan roast of the week are among the mains, with desserts like baked cheesecake and salted caramel crème brulee waiting to tempt you too.

Pink Afternoon Tea
Throughout October, Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Municipal is partnering with The Marina Dalglish Appeal to host a Pink Afternoon Tea. “All month long we’ll be raising funds and awareness for this incredible local charity and supporting the fight against breast cancer,” says Laura. “We’d love people to join us for a delicious afternoon tea in support of a cause that touches so many lives.”

No matter what you’re celebrating, The Municipal Hotel & Spa will be there to help you create the perfect day. For instance, the Dale Street venue has a range of wedding options and packages to make saying ‘I do’ the best decision you’ve made and – dare we mention Christmas? – fantastic festive menus and experiences to ensure you’ll have a very, merry time.
