The Resident hotel brand has confirmed its hotel on Seel Street in Liverpool will be reopening its doors on Thursday 27th August 2020.
The hotel, which consistently sits 2nd out of 105 hotels in Liverpool on Trip Advisor, has also undergone a full refurbishment programme which includes all bedrooms and lobby areas.
The newly refurbished hotel lounge features exceptional British design and comfort, whilst also considering social distancing and safety measures. Increased hygiene and welfare procedures are also in place throughout the rest of the hotel.
When not venturing out to eat, each of The Resident’s guestrooms have mini kitchens and the team can ensure a pre-ordered selection of essential groceries are sanitised and placed in the larder fridge prior to arrival. Guests are also welcome to order takeaways to be delivered to the hotel, which will be delivered to the door of the guestroom by a socially distanced member of the team.
Andrew Marsh, General Manager of The Resident Liverpool said:
“Myself and the team are delighted to be returning to our Liverpool hotel and to welcoming guests who are looking to explore our fabulous city, and show off our new lounge and design!”
As a way to mark the reopening of the hotels, The Resident has announced that it will be offering “Nights on Us” to nurses who worked on the frontline of the pandemic, as a thank you for their tremendous efforts. The brand has committed 2020 room nights and is encouraging ICU nurses from Liverpool to get involved.
The initiative has been set up to provide complimentary two-night hotel stays to ICU Nurses, the biggest UK wide thank you for their services. With over 6,000 nights pledged across more than 50 hotels, Nights On Us also supports the re-opening of the UK Hotel industry and the return of domestic tourism within the UK.
David JM Orr, CEO, commented:
“Like the entire country, our teams, owners and Board, we are in awe of the exceptional resilience, kindness, hard work and personal sacrifice that has been made by our frontline and key workers during this unprecedented and difficult time.
“Our donation of 2020 room nights to Nights on Us is a chance for The Resident to show our appreciation for some of those whose unfaltering skill, empathy and endurance has helped so many during this global pandemic. They have looked after the safety and wellbeing of the nation, now it is our turn to look after them, safely. Along with our guests who will join us in Liverpool from 27 August, we look forward to giving ICU Nurses our renowned heartfelt service, which they all truly deserve.”
“We are so pleased that co-founders Jake, Greg, James and Tom along with Simon from Journey have implemented such an inspired idea. We look forward to welcoming the NHS heroes into our safe and quiet, stylish and self-sufficient hotels.
Jacob Pickering, co-founder of Nights On Us commented:
“We couldn’t think of a better way to mark the re-opening of the Hotel industry than by welcoming ICU Nurses, and we are so thrilled to have the opportunity to show them our gratitude for all they have done.”
