Since then, owner Kate Stewart and her team have worked tirelessly to reopen the complex, ensuring it is compliant with all health & safety regulations surrounding Covid-19, as well as reopening with an additional offering; a new food menu to cater for guests visiting the complex that is home to nine bars, multiple function and hospitality suites as well as a 20-bed hotel.
The complex is launching the new food menu on Monday 21st September and to celebrate the new menu, is inviting five couples, or two family members, to taste test the menu on Monday.
Complying with strict government guidelines, The Sandon will be hosting a socially distanced tasting of the menu which is made up of pub favourites such as classics, nibbles and small plates.
Delicious classics include bubbly beer battered fish, chips and mushy peas, steak and ale pie with thyme pastry, mustard mash and thick gravy, Hunter’s chicken, chips and ranch slaw, double cheeseburger with bacon, fries, onion rings and slaw and Cauliflower bhaji burger with fries, to name a few.
Moreish nibbles include marinated garlic olives, toasted bread with a trio of dips and blue cheese straws with house chutney.
And guests can tuck into tasty small plates such as salt and pepper halloumi fries, Mongolian beef with egg noodles, king prawns with olive oil, garlic and chilli, chicken skewers with harissa and mint, thick chips with katsu mayo and smoked cheese and chorizo croquettes with garlic aioli.
To be in with the chance of enjoying a complimentary taste test of the new menu, you must simply message The Sandon via Facebook or Instagram. The first five couples or lots of two family members to contact, will be able to tuck into dishes from the tasty menu completely free of charge.
“We’ve been eagerly anticipating the reopening of The Sandon and are delighted to be welcoming our guests back to the complex. We have carefully followed strict health and safety guidelines ensuring we’re completely Covid-secure.
“It’s been a strange few months for the hospitality industry but we’re really excited to reopen our doors with the introduction of a fantastic new food menu that’s packed with delicious, hearty dishes. From small plates to nibbles and larger classics, there’s something for everyone here at The Sandon.”
