The Script to play M&S Bank Arena this November
6 months ago
The Script are set to take the stage at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool this November.
The Script are a multi-platinum selling band known for their chart-topping hits and incredible live performances, you can see for yourself at the M&S Bank Arena on 25 November.
After 10 billion streams, 12 million album sales, six UK #1 albums and two Platinum-certified US singles, The Script return with the release of their new album âSatellitesâ on 16 August 2024.
Announced alongside news of a UK and European arena tour, the album is previewed today by the single âBoth Waysâ. You can listen HERE.
Â
âBoth Waysâ sees The Script strike out with swaggering new energy, with boisterous hip-hop and funk rhythms providing the irresistible dance-floor vibes to complement the star quality of Dannyâs voice.
The result is frantically fun, an explosive cocktail that brings to mind Black Eyed Peas playing Bruno Marsâ âLocked Out of Heavenâ and it is a world apart from anything The Script have previously released.
Glen Power said:
“Both Waysâ is high energy, and maybe not what people might expect from us. But weâre The Script, and now we have something to prove: that there is life and light after the darkness. Itâs why weâre coming fast and strong with that one.â
Vowing to pay tribute to their friend (Mark Sheehan) by continuing the band they had built together, vocalist Danny OâDonoghue returned to the studio and experimented in a number of ways: using 808s and playing with R&B-inspired sounds, focusing on upbeats sonics, and co-writing with hitmakers Steve Robson (Rascal Flatts, Take That) and Wayne Hector (One Direction, Nicki Minaj) as well as bandmate Glen Power.
What emerged is âSatellitesâ, an utterly uplifting collection of songs that forges a new future for The Script while remembering that although Mark may no longer be here, he remains a vital part of everything that they do.
Danny said:Â
“The album cover is silhouettes of me, Glen and Ben Sargeant, our bassist, who’s been with us from the beginning. Then we have a hooded silhouette, because the air of Mark is still there. He always will be, but it’s also giving a tip of the hat to the future. It’ll never be the same Script. We’re just trying to get on and do what it is that we all feel is the next right thing to do and thatâs to keep making more great music.â
âSatellitesâ is available to pre-order / pre-save HERE. The album is available as a limited edition hardback book CD, black vinyl and standard CD. The Scriptâs official artist store also offers a limited edition white vinyl, cassette and new merchandise.
Â
Fans who pre-order âSatellitesâ from the bandâs official store HERE before 5pm BST on Tuesday, May 21st will receive access to an exclusive pre-sale for tickets for the UK and Ireland tour dates. The pre-sale will open at 9:30am on Wednesday, May 22.

Â
After reuniting for select shows of collective grieving and joyous communion with The Script family in 2023, the band are about to head out on a massive tour supporting P!nk across the UK, Europe and America before returning to big stages of their own this autumn. This will see them play to over 2 million fans around the world this year.
Tour support comes from very special guest Tom Walker on all dates except Berlin, Munich and Milan.
