The ultimate country music tribute night is back at Camp and Furnace
3 years ago
Don’t pack away your cowboy boots and Stetsons just yet because the ultimate country music tribute night is coming back to Camp and Furnace.
Country Superstars is dedicated to Dolly Parton and friends, with a massive singalong show featuring some of the most influential icons in country music and all the classic songs we know every word to.
Sarah Jayne and Andy Crust, who do an incredible impersonation of Islands in the Steam duo Kenny and Dolly, take centre stage alongside tributes to legends like Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Tammy Wynette and Glenn Campbell, all supported by The Tennessee Allstar Band.
The show was such a huge hit when it made its Camp and Furnace debut last month that it’s already booked in for another two rhinestone-filled dates next year.
It will be on its way back to Liverpool country music fans in May and November, bringing with it a stunning show that’s been praised by Kenny Rogers and the Queen of Country themselves.
Expect not just singers who look and sound like the stars, right down to every detail of the trademark big blonde wigs, make-up and dazzling replica costumes, but a script and song choice that’s earned Country Superstars the title of the number one tribute act in Europe – and that’s according to actual Kenny!
They’ve featured on BBC’s The One Show and on ITV’s Game of Talents – now Stand by your Man because they’re lining up what’s bound to be a sell-out double return to the city.
Jack Clarke at Camp and Furnace says Liverpool can’t get enough of the country legends.
“We had an event called I Will Always Love Dolly back in July when we went full-on Dolly and we Sarah Jayne here for that,” he explains. “Everyone loved her so we decided to bring her Country Superstars show too, which is basically Dolly and Friends, and that was just as popular.Â
“It was such a success that we’ve got it coming back on May 13 and November next year too, and we’ll have tickets on sale for those dates soon.”
