With just under 2 months to go the city of Liverpool is absolutely buzzing with the thought of Eurovision’s arrival.
With so much going on in and around the city, it’s hard to keep track of all these amazing things. Well we at The Guide Liverpool are here to help you out. We will be updating this guide weekly to bring you all the latest Eurovision news.
Food and Drink
Pullman Jacks – Eurovision PieÂ
The Eurovision pie, launched for British Pie Week, in honour of Ukraine for whom the city is hosting the global singing competition, and it marks just over a year since the war in the country began.
The Chicken Kiev Pie will be made with perfect pastry, slow-roasted chicken, and a veloutĂ© sauce, with garlic and parsley.Â
Philharmonic Hall – The Wines of Eurovision
It’ll be a battle for Booze Points as The Philharmonic Hall prepares to go on a journey through The Wines of Eurovision.
The Music Room event on Friday, May 12 – just 24 hours before Graham Norton guides us through the Grand Final in the city – aims to prove that wine and Eurovision are the perfect pairing, like Conchita and cabernet, and Celine and sauvignon.
Homebaked Bakery – Peace Pie
Available to purchase at Oakfield Road or St George’s Hall – The Eurovision Peace Pie is filled with traditional Ukrainian Beef Borscht and ÂŁ1 from every pie will be donated to DEC appeal in Ukraine, and also to Fans Supporting Food Banks.

Events & EntertainmentÂ
EuroFestival
It’s the pre-party to end all pre-parties. EuroFestival will be taking place from 1 – 14 May 2023. This festival is the first of its kind for a Eurovision host city. It will present 24 commissions – 19 of which are collaborative projects between UK and Ukrainian artists – to showcase the uniting power of music and art.

The National Lottery’s Big Eurovision Welcome tickets go on sale
Hosted by AJ Odudu, this 90 minute outdoor show will be one of the events to kick-off the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in spectacular style, transforming Liverpool’s much loved St George’s Hall and the surrounding area into a massive party for the people.

Floating Earth at Royal Albert Dock
As Liverpool prepares itself for the arrival of the spectacular Eurovision Song Contest this year, Royal Albert Dock Liverpool has revealed the first of its celebratory events to mark the occasion, one which promises to dazzle and delight both local and international visitors.Â
The piece, by artist Luke Jerram, uses detailed NASA imagery of the Earth’s surface, and provides visitors with the opportunity to see our planet floating gently in three dimensions – creating Liverpool’s most incredible backdrop.
Using the water’s surface as a natural mirror, the artwork will present a stunning and awe-inspiring visual effect, accompanied by a breath-taking soundscape by BAFTA award winning composer, Dan Jones.
Local drag star Filla Crack to host EuroLove at Love Lane Brewery
This series of events is Love Lane & Filla’s (Euro)Love Letter to Eurovision. With screenings of The Eurovision Song Contest, immersive art experiences, drag brunches, lip sync’s and a drag roast – you won’t be short of things to get involved with once The Song Contest descends on the city.

EuroStreet and EuroGrants bring Eurovision spirit to communities
There is now an opportunity for everyone to get their own brilliant Eurovision ideas off the ground with EuroGrants of up to ÂŁ2,000.Â
A detailed EuroStreet programme will be released soon but events will focus on:
- Festival of Europe – Celebrating the cultures and heritage of all Eurovision nationalities in the city region
- Songs for Europe – Live participatory performances touring residential care settings
- Solidarity Disco Banquets – Food, music and crafts at community-based feasts.
- Chess for Everyone – A huge pastime in Ukraine, celebrated with in-person and online games.

Themed experiences at INNSiDE by Melia
The reception area will host a live DJ from 3 – 7pm, between Tuesday 9 – Saturday 13 May, playing the best of Eurovision power anthems.Â
You’ll hear all the classics from past winners and runners up such as Abba, Conchita Wurst, Loreen, Sam Ryder, Manëskin and the 2022 winner, Kalush, to name a few.
On Friday, the DJ will then move to up to the Gino D’Acampo 360 Sky Bar on the hotel’s 18th floor post 7pm, so you can see out the evening dancing away, all whilst taking in the beautiful, panoramic city skyline and River Mersey views.

Floral tribute to Ukraine
A symbolic seed-spreading event will transform one of Liverpool’s major gateways into a nature-rich sea of yellow and blue. The event took place on March 15 with representatives from the city’s Ukrainian community, creatives from Yellow House and staff from National Museums Liverpool and the Eden Project present.
The wildflower seeds were planted along a visible verge that leads into the city centre, behind the World Museum Liverpool and Central Library.

Go and see Sam Ryder’s Eurovision outfit at BME
The outfit worn on stage by Sam Ryder at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 went on display at the British Music Experience (BME) in Liverpool on 22 March 2023 ahead of the city hosting the song contest.

Liverpool ONE blooms in blue and yellow for Eurovision
In place until 14 May, this year’s floral displays give a special nod to Eurovision, with the Ukrainian flag colours, blue and yellow, used across the installations, created in collaboration with award-winning floral design team, Poppy Belle Florals.

EuroClub at Camp & Furnace
EuroClub is the official venue chosen for Eurovision fans to come together to support the event and soak up everything the city has to offer. It’s been a staple of Eurovision week for years, and it’s all about inviting people to party and celebrate their shared love of the world’s best song contest.

The big screen Eurovision grand final viewings will take place as the international music competition ends in Liverpool on Saturday, May 13.

Eurovision Eggs designed by children in Liverpool are unveiled at Liverpool ONE
The display features seven eggs, one for each city region plus one for Ukraine. Children from across Merseyside witnessed their artwork go on display at Liverpool ONE.
