Valentines is all about celebrating  ‘Love’ and Masons have put together an evening of  friendship and fun for a Galentines evening on 14 February.

Il Forno

Il Forno will welcome guests for a delicious four course menu set in the beautiful surroundings of the fine dining Italian restaurant.

With a glass of prosecco on arrival for each guest, followed by delicious aperitivo of Parmigiana in Crosta and Arancino Nduja, there will then be delicious starters, sumptuous mains and indulgent dessert.

Starters include Grated King Scallop served with saffron risotto, Pan fried Cod Cheek with oven baked cherry tomatoes, porcini mushrooms and red pepper sauce, heart shaped focaccia with buffalo mozzarella DOP and tomato and runny deep fried egg coated in breadcrumbs served with a truffle and parmesan sauce.

Delicious main courses include heart shaped egg ravioli with lobster, king prawns with lemon and breadcrumbs, seabass fillet served with beurre blanc and apricot sauce, prime fillet of beef or vegan puff pastry filled with roasted beetroot green lentils, spinach, mushrooms with cranberry sauce and a spiced cinnamon gravy.

Dessert is a sharing board for two.

Municipal Hotel

Available throughout the month in the Botanic Tearoom, an exclusive Valentine’s Afternoon Tea menu will be served in the hotel’s signature three-course style, set against the enchanting backdrop of a stunning cherry blossom tree.

This luxurious experience features themed delights, including the ‘Titanic Cure’ sandwich – with award-winning locally smoked salmon and lemon and dill cream cheese – alongside sweet treats such as a strawberry and cream choux bun and a rhubarb and custard macaron to finish, with Tea Sommeliers on hand to guide guests through the experience.

Botanico – Woolton Village

Botanico will have a delicious four course dinner with a complimentary glass of prosecco on arrival for £50pp.

Guests will tuck into Parmigiana in Crosta; aubergine layers, mozzarella, tomato sauce, basil and rice, and Arancino Nduja; Aranicno ball with spicy salami nduja to start their evening before moving on to a delicious starter, main course and dessert each.

Starters include Bruschetta Caprese, Panzanella con Gamberi; Tuscan bread salad with king prawns and Lasagne di Verdure.

Couples will then enjoy main courses such as Linguine al Astice; Half lobster with cherry tomato sauce and lobster bisque, prime fillet of beef with dauphinoise potatoes, spinach, parmesan crust and pink peppercorn sauce and Pizza Cuore; a heart shaped pizza of choice.

Completing the romantic meal is a sharing dessert for two made up of lemon meringue and honeycomb ice cream.

Love to Love You Baby runs at Frederiks

Fred’s have fallen head over heels into Valentine’s Weekend, with indulgent 2- or 3-course Lover’s Feasts from £55 per couple and a glass of Prosecco, Wine or Beer per guest – plus each night there’s also live music or DJs to serenade your special someone.

Fat Hippo is cranking up the romance this Valentine’s Day with their most indulgent creation yet, Le French Kiss burger. From 4-28 February, the Bold Street restaurant is bringing a taste of Paris straight to you with this limited-edition burger.

The burger features juicy double beef patties, American cheese, all slathered in creamy béarnaise mayo. But on top of all of that, there’s tender beef brisket bourguignon, a smoky BBQ drizzle, a truffled onion slice, crispy garlic onion strings and a rich peppercorn sauce!
