Mother’s Day at The Watering Can is set to be a magical, musical and memorable day this year.
As one of Liverpool’s most loved Café Bistros in Greenbank Park, the team are pulling out all the stops to make this Mother’s Day a day to remember with a fun-filled atmosphere and a mouth-watering menu. Live music from Gary Barker and the very talented Berian Miles will make the afternoon go with a swing, singing a selection of foot tapping classics.
You can treat the special lady in your family to a glass of pink fizz on arrival and an exquisite 4 course set-menu (£46 per person), which has been carefully designed by the team of Chefs.
The menu is packed full of flavour and starters include:- Chicken satay skewers mooli salad, pickled veg and chapati; Smoked salmon with grapefruit, fennel and pomegranate salad in a lime, chilli and dill dressing, sourdough crisp bread; Spiced portobello mushrooms, butterbean mash, chickpea crumb; or, whipped cave-aged Goat’s cheese, roasted red grapes, candied walnuts and a sourdough crisp bread.
Main courses include Free range chicken supreme, chestnut mushrooms, pommes mousseline, green beans and a Marsala wine jus; Boeuf bourguignon, topped with Duchess potato with buttered vegetable medley; Pan fried seabass fillet, Menai mussels in Thai green curry with fragrant jasmine rice; or, a delicious aubergine parmigiana stack, followed by a selection of desserts.
Owner Keith Perryman said:
“We are famed for our Sunday Roasts and a lot of our Mum’s visit regularly to enjoy them. For Mother’s Day we wanted to create something different and exciting with our special ladies at the heart of the day and the live music will certainly entertain the mums. Our menu has everything, using local produce where we can, and we have tried to ensure that Mother’s Day at The Watering Can will be a very magical, memorable and enjoyable one. ”
