Located in Greenbank Park, the popular café bistro, The Watering Can, is now celebrating a third victory at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards 2025.
This comes after previously winning the Taste of Liverpool City Region Café of the Year.
Taking place at the Liverpool Cathedral, the prestigious awards ceremony was hosted by Merseyside presenter Kevin Duala. Bringing together the excellence of hospitality and recognition of outstanding businesses, the event celebrated long service and experience across the Liverpool City Region’s leisure and tourism sector.
The award proudly acknowledges The Watering Can’s warm hospitality, quality food and commitment.
Celebrating its seventh anniversary in April, the cafe has previously had success at the awards, having won the LCR Hidden Gem Award in 2021 and Café Bistro of the Year in 2023, as well as being named a runner-up in Café Bistro of the Year in 2022 and 2024.

Owner Keith Perryman said:
“Winning Café of the Year 2025 at the Liverpool City Region Tourism Awards means so much to me and the team. It is a tribute to our teams, past, present and future. Every person who has ever worked a shift, poured a coffee, washed a plate, opened early, stayed late, or helped shape what The Watering Can into what it is today has played a part in this. Places like ours are never built by one person, they are built by people who care! Since Covid especially, the pace of change has been relentless. Adapting constantly, navigating rising costs, staffing challenges and changing customer habits is exhausting, all while trying to stay true to your customers and to yourself. Hospitality as an industry is still facing a very real crisis, which makes moments like this feel even more meaningful.
“We would also like to congratulate the other finalists. Being recognised alongside so many brilliant venues across the region is a reminder of how much talent, resilience and creativity exists in our industry.”
